6 you are on board a Dufour 24 she is the giant of the small yachts And you will be amazed at her spaciousness. No other yacht of its size gives you such a large, functional cockpit. Lots of space for husky sailors at sea ; easy lounging room for six in port and a cockpit dinette that seats four in comfort. Everyone can enjoy the sunshine.. The wide side decks give confidence whilst sail handling and are wonderful for sunbathing. she is equipped like a cruising yacht On going below, the headroom of 5' 7" at the foot of the companionway is an unexpected plea'sure. All four berths are 6' 6 " long with the two in the fo'c'sle converting to a doublé bed. Lifting the bunk boards in the main saloon reveals large storage lockers which are lined and dry. Tinted windows in the saloon add to the feeling of airy spaciousness and the forecabin has a Goiot hatch as Standard. Built to conform to the higkstandard of the French boatbuilding authority, Marin Marchand, the Standard of her equipment both above and below decks reflects the long tradition of sailing experience gained by Michel Dufour and his fellow sailors on the rugged coast of Brittany. The beautiful mahogany tablestows unnoticed in the fo'c'sle when out of use and fits either in the main saloon j or in the cockpit at mealtimes. Cooking to a Frenchman is important and the galley unit is a masterpiece of clean, -j functional design. There is a two burner cooker, a stainless steel sink with a hand pump and an outlet to the sea, ) together with crockery, cutlery and bottle racks. The chart table which fits at the foot of the berth on the portside is big enough for proper navigation but is unobstrusive when stowed. One must not take chances with the sea. The deck fittings come from the best manufacturerssuch as Goiot and Lewniarand the material specification is of the highest quality. Burma teak, 316 stainless steel, smoked Altu glass, etc. etc. Every boat is prewired for the electrics at no extra cost. This is just one of the clever features demonstrating the attention to detail.
