9 Much more than just paper You could be forgiven for taking large format media for granted, but in reality it is far more than just a humble sheet of oversized paper. Media With its vast array of more than 60 different types of media, H has reinvented large format paper by transforming it into smart media that is designed to meet a diverse and demanding range of large format printing applications. To better understand its basic characteristics and preferred usage, H Large Format Media can be grouped into three categories: (1) fibre-based media, (2) photographic-based media and (3) film-based media. (1) Fibre-based large format media includes plain papers and bond papers made of cellulose fibres and fillers with a specialised coating that controls brightness, stiffness and water absorption.
