Division III National Committee. The Division III Men s Lacrosse committee will meet May 30, If you have issues that you would like the committee to discuss, please forward them in writing to Will Hopkins (whopkins@ncaa.org) at the NCAA national office by May 2, Championship Information Championship. Will be combined and will be held at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 29, Pre-Championship Manual. Don t forget to go online and print the NCAA Men s Lacrosse Pre-Championship Manual, which will be online by February 1, 2016 on NCAA.org. Score Reporting. The score-reporting and statsreporting processes are now combined for Division III men s lacrosse. Schools will submit all schedule and results information to the NCAA statistics site ( and this information will then be imported into the scorereporting system for use by the sports committees. 1 Specific instructions and reporting deadlines will be communicated to SID s in a memo from the media services staff. To be considered during the selection process either as an automatic berth (Pool A) or an at-large berth (Pool B and Pool C), an institution must play at least 70 percent of its competition against Division III inregion opponents, unless a waiver has been approved by the Division III Championships Committee. Bylaw Countable Competition. For NCAA team-championship selection purposes, competition is countable only when the teams played are varsity intercollegiate teams of four-year, degreegranting institutions that conduct a majority of their competition in that team sport against varsity intercollegiate teams (see Constitution ) of United States four-year, degree-granting institution. Competition against service teams, professional teams, semiprofessional teams, amateur teams, twoyear colleges and club teams shall be excluded. Primary Criteria Bylaw : The primary criteria for ranking and selection (all contests leading up to NCAA Championships); all criteria listed will be evaluated (not listed in priority order). Won-lost percentage against Division III opponents. Division III head-to-head competition. Results versus common Division III opponents. Results versus ranked Division III teams as established by the rankings at the time of selection. Conference postseason contests are included. Provisional and reclassifying members shall remain ineligible for ranking and selections. Secondary Criteria Bylaw : If the evaluation of the primary criteria does not result in a decision, the secondary criteria will be reviewed. All the criteria listed will be evaluated (not listed in priority order). The secondary criteria introduce results versus opponents from other classifications. Non-Division III won-lost percentage. Results versus common non-division III opponents. Non-Division III strength of schedule. Additionally, input is provided by regional advisory committees for consideration by the Men s Lacrosse Committee. Coaches polls and/or any other outside polls or rankings are not used as a criterion by the Division III Men s Lacrosse Committee for selection purposes. An institution must play a minimum of 10 games during the traditional season against Division III opponents to be considered for selection. Championships Committee Actions. Approved that the following 23 conferences be granted automatic qualification into the 2016 NCAA Division III Men s Lacrosse Championship: Capital Athletic Conference, Centennial Conference, Colonial States Athletic Conference, Commonwealth Coast Conference, Empire 8, Great Northeast Athletic Conference, Landmark Conference, Liberty League, Little East Conference, Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth, Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, New England Small College Athletic Conference, NEWMAC Lacrosse League, North Atlantic Conference, North Coast Athletic Conference, North Eastern Athletic Conference, Ohio Athletic Conference, Old Dominion Athletic Conference, Skyline Conference, Southern Athletic Association and State University of New York Athletic Conference.
