MULTIPLE CHANNEL, MULTIPLE SERVER, SYSTEM CONTROL The advanced server and control capabilities of the TCD/V3 allow users to control multiple channels of digital video playback and recording as well as access thousands of digital video resources stored on the connected servers. Flexible With the TCD/V3, you get to select the servers that best meet the needs of your television operation. Choose from popular video servers, including the TCD/NX and 360 Systems Image Servers. EXPAND As your channel capacity expands, your TCD/V3 is ready. Simply add another video server, matching the model you already own or mixing in one of the other supported servers (may require PLUS- interface). The TCD/V3 is capable of controlling up to 16 individual video servers. Compatible with the TCD/V3, the TCD/NX is a versatile, low-cost server solution. Easy Demanding, multi-channel systems are no problem with the TCD/V3. Effortlessly manage up to 16 channels of digital video playback through one user interface. 3 DVD Player and VCR Control The TCD/V3 is equipped with multiple control schemes for controlling multi-disc DVD players, DVD players/recorders, and VCRs. Whether you want basic, four-function control or more advanced command power, the TCD/V3 has the right control for your devices. Basic Device Control To get you started right out of the box, the TCD/V3 ships with four integrated IR transmitters on its rear panel and the corresponding IR cables. The IR transmitters provide PLAY-STOP-REWIND-RECORD capabilities for your basic device control needs. Just plug the cables into the IR ports on the TCD/V3 s rear panel and attach the other ends of the cables to your choice of VCRs and DVD players. The TCD/V3 IR transmitters are compatible with a wide variety of popular DVD players and VCRs. Expanding your basic control options, the TCD/V3 comes equipped for the optional device interface control scheme. Connect a daisy chain of interfaces between the TCD/V3 port and up to 16 of your devices. The device interfaces come in a wide variety of control schemes (IR, wired, parallel, and serial) for connection to hundreds of models of DVD players and VCRs. Advanced Device Control For those wanting more advanced control, the TCD/V3 also includes two DVply ports for direct RS-232 connection to TASCAM DV-DO1U or DV-D6500 players. DVply provides full function control with random disc access allowing individual program selection with title:chapter cuing. In addition to video servers, the PLUS- advanced device interface control bus can also be used to provide control for RS-422 controlled VCRs and single and multidisc DVD players. The TCD/V3 automatically detects up to 16 devices connected to its PLUS- port via PLUS- device interfaces and provides continuous monitoring of those devices. Randomly access videotape in compatible VCRs or cue DVDs by title:chapter in select DVD players. device interfaces are available for hundreds of DVD players and VCRs. Integrated IR and DVply control ports are standard on the TCD/V3. PLUS- device interfaces provide advanced control for servers and select DVD players and VCRs. Commercial grade players such as the Tascam DV-D01U allow advanced DVD control with random disc access (title:chapter). Routing Switcher Control The TCD/V3 has the power to control video/audio routing switchers with up to 250 inputs by 250 outputs, easily meeting your current facility routing needs and giving you the flexibility to expand your system. The TCD/V3 integrates with the many popular routing switchers standard, no options required! If you already own a 16, 8, or NET-164, the TCD/V3 is also capable of controlling these specialized devices as a routing switcher only, allowing you to maintain your system configuration while making a digital or system controller upgrade. Large or small, the TCD/V3 supports a wide range of video/audio routing switchers. Page 3 of 6

4 WinLGX Management Software New for the TCD family of controllers is the WinLGX management and control software. Included with the TCD/V3, WinLGX makes harnessing the power of this mega-controller even easier. WinLGX eases the task of handling a multichannel operation, allowing you to create a schedule for 16 channels of digital playback, digital recording, and any other resources in your system. Need multiple TCD/V3 controllers? Connect to a maximum of 8 TCD/V3 controllers in WinLGX to perform multi-site management with a few mouse clicks. The media resource library included with WinLGX holds all of your mixed media formats, including digital video files (MPEG), DVD programs, videotape titles, and video slides. User-configurable folders allow you to organize your media so you can find your resources with a glance. Quickly creating schedules is simple with WinLGX. The software allows you to drag and drop resources from your media resource library into the scheduler, drastically reducing the amount of data entry for each program event. Block copy events from day-to-day and channel-to-channel on your schedule. You can even save frequently scheduled digital program sequences into playlists in the media resource library. Playlists may contain any supported digital media resources, including JPEG video slides (TCD/NX only) and MPEG video clips. Drag playlist resources onto your schedule to simultaneously enter information for all of the included digital programs. The WinLGX main window allows you to manage system configuration, library media, and multi-channel and multi-site scheduling. In addition to being quick and convenient, WinLGX helps you to generate error-free broadcast schedules. WinLGX performs error checking between all of your channels and devices every time you add a program to the scheduler, instantly reporting any scheduling conflicts. Comprehensive error checking monitors both resources and channels for conflicts during scheduling. Quickly develop multi-channel broadcast schedules with the WinLGX drag and drop interface.
