Assessment of Student Learning Three-Year Plan All programs are expected to measure some outcomes annually and to measure all priority program outcomes at least once over two consecutive three-year review cycles. Describe below the plan for the next three years of assessment of program-level student learning outcomes. 1. B. Use electronic equipment to compose letters, memos, and s; send and receive faxes; answer phones and schedule meetings. C. Certifications earned; i.e. MOS and/or OPAC, etc. (student assessment of learning gains) iii. CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS: Direct Measures: 1. GPAs: a. GPA in Office and Business Technology courses required for the degree: 70% > 3.0 b. GPA in general education courses: 70% > Check sheet: We expect that 80% of students will be able to use acquired skills to demonstrate the use of electronic equipment such as a computer, facsimile, copier, and telephone. 3. OPAC testing software: We expect that 80% of students will be able to pass the keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software portion of the OPAC test and receive certification. 3. Obtain Entry Level Position: We expect that many of our students will obtain positions in their field and others will continue their education. (Percentage to be determined) Indirect Measures 1. Instructor and Course Evaluations (student assessment of learning gains): 60% > 5.0 (based on 1-6) 2. Graduate Exit Survey (student assessment of learning gains): 60% > B (based on A-E) Future option 3. Alumni Survey (student assessment of learning gains): 60% > B (based on A-E) future option B. Who: Direct measures will be applied to all students in the OBT program. Indirect measures will target all students, but we do not expect to get 100% return. 3. When will learning outcomes be assessed? When and in what forum will the results of the assessment be discussed? : SLOs A & B : SLOs C & D : SLOs A & B revisited The faculty will collect and analyze data at the end of each academic year. Faculty will meet to write a report on student achievement of the SLOs and the proposed strategies to enhance student performance, including changes in pedagogy, curriculum, and student resources. If we determine that the data are not useful we will revise our matrices. 3.
