Collaborate with associated product areas to ensure product integrity, and ensure integration of these products with other patient management activities. Revised Disability Protocol System for use by clinical case management staff Member of development team for integrated health and disability product Major media contact for clinical issues in integrated health and disability product. This included interviews by the Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio and several regional publications. Chairman of Johns Hopkins University Occupational Medicine Residency Advisory Committee (1995 through 2000) Aetna U.S. Healthcare representative on one of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health committees to establish the National Occupational Research Agenda Director, Occupational Health and Safety, PECO Energy Company, Philadelphia, PA Duties: Directed and managed all occupational health and safety functions of the PECO Energy Company including Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Fitness for Duty (drug and alcohol testing), all direct medical services, employee assistance program, wellness, disability and Workers' Compensation programs.

2 Managed consolidation of three separate units, Safety, Drug Testing and Medical Services into one unit Occupational Health and Safety Division in response to a corporate restructuring in 1991 Managed OH&S through two more re-organizations in response to corporate downsizing with McKinsey in 1994 and an internally managed reorganization of Human resources in Took a leadership role in 1996 Human Resource Department re-organization. Division head count reduced from 54 to 42 to 30 in the course of these re-organizations. Actively participated and took a leadership role in the Human Resources restructuring in Lead Quality Improvement and Quality Management Programs leading to significant process improvement and cost reduction in OH&S. Annual budget reduced from 10.5 million in 1991 to 8.0 million in Managed disability programs to a 40% reduction in disability days from 1991 through Re-organized corporate worker s compensation administration. Achieved a cost reduction from over 5 million per year in 1994 to under 3 million in 1996 Developed contracts and RFP s for Worker s Compensation Administration, Drug Testing and Collection, Physician Services, Executive Physicals, Family Support Services. Developed and implemented an industry leading flame retardant clothing program, restructure corporate Safety and Industrial Hygiene approach to significantly reduce OSHA Lost Workday Case Rate. Rate dropped from 4.04 in 1991 to 1.70 in Restructured and enhanced the Employee Assistance Program Expanded Random Drug and Alcohol Testing Program from regulatory testing to include corporate wide Safety Sensitive positions Developed internal processes to address the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family Medical Leave Act. Instituted a corporate wide Industrial Hygiene Baseline Survey. Revised and improved the Corporate Hearing Conservation Program Director of Occupational Medicine, Dean Medical Center, Madison, WI Duties: Involved in the development and provision of Occupational Medicine services to a wide variety of businesses in the Madison area. Activities included: Consultation Services for Toxicology; development of Medical Surveillance and pre-placement protocols for a variety of industries; Workers Compensation Case Management; Independent Medical Examinations, prevention of workplace illness and injury. Established the first full time Occupational Medicine department at Dean Medical Center

3 Developed a private practice from scratch to billing levels of $25,000 per month in 18 months Head - Occupational Health/Preventive Medicine, Navy Medical Command Northeast Region Coordinated activities of various Occupational Health professionals including: Industrial Hygiene, Audiology, Occupational Health Physicians and Physician Extenders, Occupational Health Nurses and Technicians, Safety Professionals, Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine personnel. Oversaw and wrote the only contracts for occupational health purchased by the Navy, amounting to $1.1 million per year; and developed short-and long-range strategies to meet the occupational health and preventive medicine needs of the Navy's northeast region. Duties entailed coordinating and monitoring the implementation of all occupational health and preventive medicine programs for 46 medical/dental treatment facilities in the Northeast Region. Also reviewed, coordinated and analyzed the quality and responsiveness of occupational health and preventive medicine services provided. Involved in the development of computer based hazard related medical surveillance systems Fellowship in Occupational Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions Consultant in Occupational Medicine to Commanding Officer, Naval Hospital, Philadelphia, PA Consultant to the Philadelphia Naval Hospital and its 10 satellite clinics in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. The clinics provided occupational health services to a variety of naval bases including a major shipyard, three research and development facilities, a weapons station, and a large supply depot Senior Medical Officer, Branch Naval Medical Clinic, Lakehurst, NJ Primary occupational medicine physician for 3000 civilian and military employees. Also provided general medical care to a varied patient population and supervised several other physicians and physician assistants. Duties included performing pre-employment examinations, managing workers compensation cases, and performing disability evaluations Residency training in General Surgery (PGY-2)

4 Staff Physician, Branch Naval Medical Clinic, Lakehurst, NJ Provided general medical care to a varied patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics Medical Department Head, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 62 Homeported in Gulfport, MS Sole physician for 650-man unit which was involved in all aspects of construction both in the United States and overseas.
