1 ADDRESS CHANGE INFORMATION Some of the agencies listed below will be notified on your behalf by the City of Huntington Beach. They are provided for informational purposes and for those who are more comfortable making a second notification of their own. 1. United States Postal Service Online entries require an address and $1 will be charged to your credit card. Form may be printed after entering data. Blank forms cannot be printed from the website. 2. California DMV IMPORTANT: If you change your address using the online change of address process, you will not be able to use the driver license renewal by internet process. If you have a change of address, you should renew by mail and enter your change of address on your renewal notice. A new driver license, identification card or registration card is not issued when changing your address. NOTE: Changing your address on your driver license and/or identification card does not change your address for vehicles registered in your name. You must complete a separate change of address transaction and enter information from your vehicle registration card(s) to change your address for your vehicle(s). You can also have DMV notify the Secretary of State of a voter change of address for you if you are already registered to vote. You cannot use this system if you: Do not have a California Driver License and/or California Identification Card Do not have a Social Security Number Have a Commercial Driver License (CDL) issued by California and your residence address is in another state Have a change of address for your disabled person parking placard Have an APO or FPO address Have an address outside of the United States

2 3. State of California Franchise Tax Board The California Change of Address Form 3533 is available online to fill in and print. 4. Internal Revenue Service The IRS Change of Address Form 8822 is available online to print. 5. Orange County Assessor The change of address form is available online to print or you can update your mailing address by calling the appropriate number listed below: Real Estate*: Business Personal Property: Boats and Aircraft * Changes of mailing address for Real Estate assessments can also be reported on the "Report Address Change" form included with the annual bill. 6. Orange County Registrar Every person needs to be properly registered before being able to vote. Reregister for change of name, change of address, party etc. Registration is available online or by mail with the attached form.

3 7. United States Citizenship & Immigration Services Green card or Visa address changes are made by mail. The AR-11, Alien s Change of Address Card, can be downloaded online. 8. Southern California Gas Company Call or change your address online. Check the back of your bill for information also. 9. Southern California Edison Company Call or visit Check the back of your bill for information also. 10. Social Security If you get Social Security benefits you can change your address online by answering a series of questions that have to match our records. You can also change your address on the Internet if you have established a permanent password. If you would like to get a password, you can apply online or you can call us at If you do not want to answer the questions that are asked online or you do not have a permanent password, you cannot submit a change of address online. Instead, you can either speak to a Social Security representative by calling our toll-free number at or you can contact your local Social Security office.
