3 DeLawnia Comer-HaGans Page 3 RESEARCH & MENTORING TRAINING 2016: The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Programs to Increase Diversity among Individuals Engaged in Health-Related Research (PRIDE) Advanced Health Disparities (AHD) Cohort 5 The AHD-PRIDE program provided two week intensive training in grantsmanship, scientific writing strategies, presentation and bioethics, community-based participatory research, design and analysis of health outcomes and effectiveness research, epidemiological and bio-statistical methods, interprofessional career/leadership development, and structured mentoring. 2015: National Research Mentoring Network 2015: New Connections: Increasing Diversity of RWJF Program selectee to receive statistical consultation services hosted by the University of Michigan Center for Statistical Consultation and Research (CSCAR). 2014: The Survey Research Center at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in collaboration with the National Poverty Center at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, Introductory Workshop on Conducting Research Using the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP). 2013: New Connections: Increasing Diversity of RWJF Program selectee to participate in a three-day virtual statistical (SEM-structural equation modeling) workshop by the Center for Statistical Consultation and Research at the University of Michigan 2012: M.
