Having your own secure server certificate or Secure Socket Layer () with your own domain name may be what's needed to overcome that barrier. Give your customers a sense of confidence. You can purchase the certificate directly from Hostway and we will install the certificate on your account. How to generate a CSR Before you can order your Certificate, you must first generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) on your server. A CSR is not a piece of software, but rather just a body of text. Your CSR will contain encoded information specific to your company and domain name; this information is known as a Distinguished Name or DN. A CSR is not a piece of software, but rather just a body of text. Your CSR will contain encoded information specific to your company and domain name; this information is known as a Distinguished Name or DN. Note: The difference between 0 bit and bit encryption is as follows. For every N bits of encryption, there are N number of possible encryption keys. Where 0 bit encryption provides 0 different possible keys, bit encryption provides different keys, providing even more security for customers.
