6 October 2011 Om Sairam! Warm Greetings on the occasion of Vijaya Dasami. May the blessings of our Divine Mother Sri Sathya Sai Baba be on all lokas! This report details briefly all the activities conducted in the Hyderabad District of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization during the period Aug, Sep The activities have picked up amazing pace and the cosmic Leelas of Swami are visible everywhere in the form of Vibhuti manifestations and amazing coincidences. The activity of the month is the prompt Seva to the distressed who were stranded in the railway station in Hyderabad. The Sarva Janula Samme affected all and sundry. The trains were halted due to which inter- state travelers were most affected. To add to the misery shops were closed during bandh. The travelers had no means to get food or water. In the words of the convener of Prashanti Nagar, Sivam, On every 24th of the month, as a mark of Mahasamadhi Day of Bhagavan, all our Samiti members would get food packets to Sivam before 9.30 AM and our youth team with some of the elders would carry these prasadam packets in 4/5 teams and distribute them to the needy who are scattered in different streets of the city. Water sachets would also be distributed along with prasadam. This time after completing the distribution our teams returned back and observed hundreds of passengers getting stuck in Secunderabad station due to bandh, being interviewed on different media. Many old people, mothers of small babies, patients and other passengers belonging to different states across India were shown lamenting at their plight. Immediately we thought we need to attend atleast to their basic needs of food and water & instill some moral strength by our positive motivation that any time trains would start and there is nothing to worry. To this call our Samiti members response was excellent & spontaneous. By Swamis grace we could provide food on 24th evening and 25th morning & evening to the best of our ability to all the 700+ passengers stuck in railway station due to Bandh. Listening to our prayers, swami halted the bandh and trains resumed on the night of 25th. The passengers were tremendously happy at the unexpected boon showered on them by Swami. Once again thanks and Kudos to all those who participated in this SEVA Yagnam.

Ganesh Puja Ameerpet: With the divine blessings of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba the youth have performed Bhajans along with the BalVikas children of Durgabhavani Nagar slum, Venkatagiri on 5/09/2011, Monday in their Ganesha Pandal during Ganesha Navaratri celebrations. Later on distributed pencil boxes to 24 children to who are coming for tuition classes conducted by our Youth. Go Seva at Ibrahimpatnam deserves special mention and has been happening at a scale which needs to be pondered by all our brothers and sisters. The love shared with our divine Go Maata will not go waste. We need to put into action Swami s words on the urgent need for halting inhuman cow slaughter and animal torture. As part of the Birthday Celebrations of our Beloved Bhagavan, Dilsukhnagar Samiti planned the Holy Go-Seva at Gopal Goshala, Ibrahimpatnam, RR District, 40 KMs away from Dilsukhnagar, which resembles Gokulam. During our first visit, we could find out the need of that Goshala. There was no proper cleaning of 4 dormitories and 5 acre open yard due to lack of manpower to the management. In the routine, the fodder of cows is restricted to 1 or 2 items. Basing on our survey, we made team of Sai Youth to clean the dormitories and open yard and planned to offer very nutritional items of fodder to cows on the day of the activity. Apart from that, involving all the members of Samiti planned a Traditional Go-Pooja and Bhajan at the premises. On the day of activity ( ), initially Sai Youth reached the place of activity at 730 am and started cleaning the dormitories where more than 700 cows are kept. During the cleaning activity, the cows were kept in the adjacent 5 acre open yard. After cleaning the premises, Sai Youth prepared fodder of the cows consisting of very liking items which were carried from DSNR. After keeping the fodder ready in the Dormitories, cows were sent to the dormitories. Thereafter, the samithi members reached the spot at 9.30 am and offered Pooja to Gomatha in a traditional way duly offering the liked items to the cows. After performing pooja, Bhajan was performed in a grand way in which the trust members of Gopal Goshala were participated. In the meantime, Sai Youth took up cleaning of 5 acre open yard which is adjacent to the dormitories, in which the cows are kept in the night time, in an enthusiastic way. The entire activity ended at 1.00 pm with Maha Mangala Harathi to our Beloved Bhagawan, offered by one of the Trust Members of Gopal Goshala. By watching the inspiring activities in all the fields by our Members, the Gopal Goshala authorities offered us the pair of cow and calf for Dilsukhnagar Mandir, which was accepted by us. The cow and calf will be kept in DSNR Centre in the month of October 2011 before our Centre's 1 st Anniversary to be held on The photos depict the various activities in sequence, cleaning followed by feeding and puja. A large open space for the cows was also cleaned by the Youth members.

Narayana Seva to Orphans since 2008 Kacheguda Samiti A Divine urge to support children at an orphanage situated at Makapet resulted in regular visit to orphanage on every Sunday where snacks, fruits, cloths, chappals in summer and beds and blankets in winter were distributed. These 35 boys use to have a meagre meal only in night time as lunch is expected in school (mid day meal of Govt). These children were deprived of the first meal of the day which is so important for growing children of the age 6 to 16 yrs. On 2nd October

2008 a divine flash occurred to provide them with breakfast. Accordingly two sets of containers were arranged and different tiffins (idly, Wada, upma, pongal, Mysore bujji, tomato rice, puri ) are prepared at our service coordinator s hostel. Transportation of the food is taken care of by two senior boys who board the local train at Malakpet which is very near to their orphanage at am get down at Vidyanagar station and collect the food, get back by am. Train fare is also arranged by Samiti. It is due to HIS grace that this Seva is being carried out consistently without any interruption since 2nd October 2008 and on completion of 1000 days we offer this at divine lotus feet and pray Bhagavan to continue to shower his blessings and guide us in our Sadhana. 2 day work shop by Mahila Youth The two day workshop conducted at Sivam on the 20th and 21st of August The workshop titled Learning to be successful in Job interviews was intended for the degree final year students of Government degree colleges and a few private colleges running on low budgets to cater to the economically weaker sections. Total number of Registrations: 256 students + few more unregistered students. The following table gives a list of the topics covered in the workshop and the details of the Resource persons who handled each of those topics. Sl. Topic Resource person no 1. Interview Skills Mrs. Kameshwari AVP HR, GE. Memorable moments of the workshop: All the speakers appreciated the way the volunteers had been trained to serve the guests. It was a very special moment and we felt we had made swami very proud of us. Youth members took active part in all the activities of the workshop, with absolutely no one having to tell them what has to be done next. No workers were employed to clean the place. Young girls washed a huge number of vessels, big and small un affected by the pouring rain. Muslim participants wanted to know more about swami and so Urdu books 3 copies were given to them from the bookstall. Some of the participants came forward to join the organization on their own and we have directed them regarding this. Most of the students on the second day of the workshop washed the plates used by them during lunch in spite of our protesting. They said they were ashamed to be making us do their work and this is exactly the transformation we were looking for.

We had 10 girls who were non devotees (They were friends of one of our youth members) who took an active part on both the days of the workshop in cleaning the vesselss and correcting the resumes. Though these were 2 different kinds of activities, they did both with aplomb Another workshop by the Mahila Vibhag was conducted successful in job interviews. at the Nacharam Samiti, On how to be

Last but not least, we will be failing if we don t quote the experience we had in connection with the FREE EYE TESTING CAMP whichh is narrated bellow: In the beginning we were in a big dilemma as to how the eye camp would be successful without Samithi Doctors [Dr Ranjit, MBBS, DO (Ophthalmologist) ] whose Mobile was not reachable as the date of the FREE EYE TESTING CAMP was fast approaching. Since Swami is GOD, he knew all along the whole eye camp would be successful, because he planned it that way by granting us THREEE OPHTHALMOLOGISTS instead of only one what we expected initially. What we learnt from this memorable experience of our lives was that God is the Doer and we are all but his instruments. Sairam
