European Journal of Microbiology and Immunology (Page 25) The journal reports new discoveries in the field of medical microbiology and immunology of infection. Major focus on infections caused by pathogenic bacteria and parasites; molecular mechanisms of pathogenicity; host pathogen interaction; innate and adaptive immunity to infection and antimicrobial chemotherapy. Journal of Behavioral Addictions (Page 27) The journal is a broad focused interdisciplinary one that publishes manuscripts on different approaches of non-substance addictions, research reports focusing on the addictive patterns of various behaviors, especially disorders of the impulsive-compulsive spectrum, and also publishes reviews in these topics. Clinical and Experimental Medical Journal / Hungarian Medical Journal As of 2009 this title continues as an open access journal under the name of Clinical and Experimental Medical Journal. Print subscription is available. Society and Economy Page numbers of this journal have increased from 480 to 600. OOpenArt provides a chance for scientists to publish open access papers in the online edition of our journals for a specific fee. OOpenArt papers are published in both the printed and online editions. The peer review process and quality requirements are the same in case of both the traditional and OOpenArt manuscripts. Our main goal was to find a business solution that is clear, attractive and affordable. The fee of an OOpenArt article is 900 EUR (1260 USD) but it can be even less. Akadémiai Kiadó offers a 50% discount for corresponding authors of a) subscribing institutions, b) Hungarian institutions, c) institutions of low- and lower-middle income countries. Discounts may not be combined, all these authors should pay 450 EUR (630 USD). In addition to new manuscripts, OOpenArt can be applied for papers already published. Online Submission System Editorial Manager at Akadémiai Kiadó Akadémiai Kiadó uses Editorial Manager (EM), a web-based manuscript submission and peer review system, which substantially reduces the editorial processing and reviewing and shortens the overall publication time. The combined print-plus-online rate is about 15% higher. Online only subscriptions are renewed accordingly. Other subscriptions are renewed as print-plus-online ones but customers can migrate to the discounted online only pricing option. In the future, MetaPress will continue to provide the online access. One single price irrespective of institutional size AK admits that there are many current experiments into pricing, based on probable or potential use, with institutional size being the most common approximate measure of use. For the present, however, AK believes that the best value for the subscriber will be delivered by having a single price for all library subscribers irrespective of the institutional size. Benefit: All institutions pay the same price with predictable budgeting and transparency of pricing. Corporate and academic rates are the same. Free access to back-files with current subscription perpetual access rights With a live subscription all online back issues of a particular journal or journal collection, going back to the first online issue (earliest in 2000), are included in the subscription, whether or not they had previously been purchased. If subscriptions are maintained then current subscribers gain free access to previously unsubscribed material. Once a subscription is cancelled customers retain perpetual access to all online content that they have specifically subscribed to, but not to the back files. Benefit: Libraries that maintain a subscription to an individual title or a collection get free access to the earliest available online back-file volumes.
