I am part of a Platform team which cuts across all games/platform/markets at Betfair. I work in the middle tier in Java/J2EE using Spring, Struts, GWT, WebServices, backed by JDBC. My key responsibilities were related to account management, payments, integrating betfair platform with 3 rd party payment gateways like Paypal, EuTeller, Netteller, Moneybookers, Atos Origin and others. Swetswise is a J2EE application having the front-end tier built using Struts 1.2, JSP, DWR and jquery and the back-end tier based on EJB technology, Spring, Hibernate and IBM DB2 data base. During the ~1 year that I worked for this product I was involved in several projects, where we had to create a new module in the already existing product. My tasks varied depending on the tier of the application, from writing SQLs, to DAOs, to EJB calls / Spring services, and finally creating new web pages using Struts, JSPs, ajax through DWR and/or jquery, and plain JavaScript for other web related stuff. This is the only project I worked on a linux operation system. ONLINE REFERENCE : ETG (Euro Tax Glass) - the leading provider of data, solutions and business intelligence services for the European automotive community For this product I was involved in three projects: 2 web-based applications that managed interactions between car dealers, and between consumers and dealers in ETG company and ETG Clients network. 6 market and cars price evaluations for insurance companies and ETG partners. The final client for those applications was General Motors. I was also involved in the core services project serving the web applications I mentioned above. Those services were built on a Spring architecture. This application is build on a EJB3 architecture. The second app I worked on is a mailer application, used by almost all centerpatcs application to send s for various purposes : customer registration, password change, booking s, e- tickets, broker s. This application was built using JMS messages.
