CONDENSATE Condensation is the moisture that drops out of an air flow as it cools. The condensation in a compressed air system is a constant threat to cause expensive problems. The following are a few examples: Moisture washes lubrication from air tools and production equipment causing downtime and maintenance. An inconsistent supply of dry air causes production quality problems. Excessive rust and scale often forms in the air distribution system. Water can back up into the compressor and wreck the machinery. Air dryers can become overloaded. In-line filters can be destroyed. The problems get worse if you operate lubricated reciprocating or oil flooded rotary screw compressors - which is just about everyone. Compressor oil makes its way into the distribution system with the compressed air. The mixture of oil, water, dirt and heat tends to build up a sludge that will ultimately jam or clog production equipment, air tools and drains. MEANINGFUL INFORMATION The situation is further complicated by climate and seasonal weather changes. This is because the amount of condensation generated will change according to changes in the temperature and the relative humidity of the inlet air. The typical compressed air system is designed to remove condensation at strategic locations. This means there are drains at the after cooler separator, receiver tank, air dryer, in-line filters and at drain points in the piping. PRODUCT SELECTION JORC produces a vast range of condensate drains. We manufacture/market zero air loss drains, timer controlled drains, powerful motorized ball valve drains and a line of drains that DO NOT require electricity. JORC drains are the most reliable in the world and combined with the wide product selection, we truly do offer one stop shopping. A whole range of private labelling options are available to make you and your JORC drain stand out and be noticed. JORC drains are complemented with a complete range of the superior performing oil/water separating range - the PURO. JORC air saving products are unique and offer an immense opportunity for energy conservation.

CERTIFICATIONS CE The CE Marking applies to products regulated by certain European health, safety and environmental protection legislation. The CE Marking is obligatory for products it applies to, the manufacturer affixes the marking in order to be allowed to sell his product in the European market. JORC products are CE certified. CULUS The UL Recognized Component Mark, which became effective April 1, 1998, may be used on components certified by UL to both Canadian and U.S. requirements. Although UL had not originally planned to introduce a combined Recognized Component Mark, the popularity of the Canada/U.S. Listing and Classification Marks among clients with UL certifications for both Canada and the United States has led to the new Mark. JORC products, where applicable, are culus certified. ISO-9000 The ISO 9001 certificate is primarily concerned with "quality management". This means what the organization does to fulfil: - the customer's quality requirements, and - applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to - enhance customer satisfaction, and - achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives.

ROHS NORMS The RoHS Directive bans the use of certain restricted substances in end products, which prevents the substances from entering waste streams. According to the directive, new electrical equipment placed on the market within Europe cannot contain more than maximum allowable levels of: Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated, bipenyl (PBB), Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). Among the RoHS Directive's largest impacts to manufacturers is the transition from the use of lead solders to lead-free solders. JORC s products are ROHS compliant. IP65/NEMA 4 This standard describes a system for classifying the degrees of protection provided by the enclosures of electrical equipment. These standards are designed to numerically rate an electrical product on the level of protection its enclosure provides. JORC products are (IP65/Nema 4) dust tight and protected against powerful water jets.

PRODUCT DIMENSIONS 25.4MM =1 The forged brass valve body has a full port 7/16-inch drain orifice. This large orifice virtually eliminates clogging by rust, scale or other air system debris and can discharge more than two gallons of condensate per drain opening at 100 psig. Jorc does recommend the use of a strainer in front of any diaphragm valve. The valve does have a large orifice, but the diaphragm needs to be protected. This is a diaphragm and its function is to lift up to expose a large orifice. If the bleed orifice in the diaphragm clogs then the diaphragm will not lift up, the valve is deemed blocked, and stays closed. COMBO-DIAPHRAGM TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS WHERE TO INSTALL

BALL VALVE STRAINERS BALL VALVE STRAINERS L-TYPE STRAINERS The OPTIMUM, TEC-22 drain valves have an orifice of 4.5 mm (EAD 4.0mm). This large orifice ensures that emulsions and particles in compressed air cannot block the valve. We offer 1/2", 3/8 and 1/4" valves and to avoid unnecessary adapters etc. We offer the right strainer for the right valve. In addition, the inlet thread is dual threaded 1/2 O.D. X 1/4 I.D. Pressure rating of the JORC strainer is 600 PSI. TIGHTENING FIXTURE JORC ball valve strainers have an incorporated hex area to simplify the installation procedure. DUAL THREAD The JORC ball valve strainers have a dual-combination inlet thread of 1/2" (male) and a 1/4" (female). 1/2 O.D. X 1/4 I.D. This feature offers versatility during installation.

IN-LINE STRAINER The specially designed in-line Y ball valve strainer allows for easy local shut off of zero air loss drains for maintenance purposes. Any debris is also caught in the mesh strainer protecting the drain from any blockages and reducing maintenance to a minimum. It is specially designed to have no flow restrictions. Flow restrictions cause air-locks. BALL VALVE STRAINERS MCV (MESH CLEANING VALVE) Dirty applications that have large amounts of debris collected in the ball-valvestrainers can clog the mesh up regularly. This then requires cleaning by the end-user or by the installation engineer. The add-on MCV offers a quick blow-out of the debris with just a twist of the wrist. Simply hook the debris discharge hose pipe to the PURO oil-water-separator and you ll never need to take a ball-valve-strainer apart again. The MCV (Mesh Cleaning Valve) is available as a loose item and can therefore be mounted to ball valve strainers retrospectively.

ADAPTERS ADAPTERS Condensate drain installation adapters TEC-11 ADAPTERS Installation adapters simplify the job for the service technician. JORC offers a range of adapters to suit all filters (even those that do not have threads in the bowl). ANTI AIR LOCK ADAPTER The anti air lock adapter is simple to install and helps prevent air locks being created. This adapter is often applied on zero air loss type drains (timer controlled drains do not air lock). HOSE PIPE CONNECTORS Hose pipe connectors are a sure and simple way to install the discharge pipe. The diameter matches the connection to the PURO oil/water separators.

COILS AND CONNECTORS Solenoid coils type FORM A & B are installed on the valves and are available in all voltages. In such cases, we will no longer be required to take complaints into consideration. 9.4 If we have found a complaint to be well-founded, we are obliged only to deliver the defective goods anew, without the customer being entitled to any additional compensation of any nature whatsoever. 9.5 The submission of a complaint will not under any circumstances free the customer from its payment obligations towards us. 9.6 Delivered goods can be returned only once our prior written approval has been granted, under conditions to be determined by us. Art. 10 Retention of property All goods delivered by us and remaining in the control or possession of the customer, remain our property, until full payment has been made of all that the customer owes us on any account whatsoever, also including future claims against the customer, inclusive of interest and costs (and in cases of delivery on account, until settlement of any balance payable by the customer) With respect to these goods, we also acquire the (joint) right of property, as security for all of our outstanding claims against the customer, as well as in respect of the goods regarding which our property right is lost as a consequence of treatment/processing, accession, specification or otherwise. The transfer will be deemed to constitute a non-possessory pledge on the goods, for which the customer now grants advance, irrevocable consent, for the value of the remaining outstanding claims The goods may be resold or used by the customer in the normal course of its business, but may not be given as collateral or serve as security for any claim of a third party. Art. 11 Payment Payment must be made on a net basis, in cash, upon delivery or hand-over, without any deduction or set-off being applied, or by means of payment into a bank or Postbank account specified by us, within thirty days after the invoice date, unless agreed otherwise. The value day specified on these bank/postbank statements is decisive and will therefore be deemed as the date of payment Each payment by the customer will in the first place go towards paying the interest due, as well as any collection costs incurred by us and/or administrative costs. The remainder will then be deducted from the longest outstanding claim In the event that the customer: a. is declared bankrupt, assigns its estate, requests a moratorium on payments and/or all or part of its property is placed under attachment; b. dies or is placed under curatorship; c. fails to fulfil any obligations by virtue of statute or these standard terms; d. fails to pay an invoice sum or part thereof within the set period; e. ceases or transfers its business or an important part thereof, including incorporating the business in a company, and/or changes the objectives of the business; we are entitled, simply by virtue of one of the listed circumstances arising, either to deem the contract to have been dissolved without any judicial intervention being required, or to demand full payment of any sum payable by the customer in relation to work carried out by us and/or goods delivered by us, immediately and without any warning and/or notice of default being required, and to revindicate goods supplied but not or not yet paid for, as our own property, in all cases without prejudice to our entitlement to payment of costs, damages and interest Once the payment period has expired without the sum payable having been paid, we are entitled to declare the contract dissolved, without notice of default or judicial intervention being required and we are also entitled to repossess or order the repossession of the goods supplied, in accordance with the provisions on Retention of Property. Art. 12 Interest and costs If payment has not been made within the period referred to in the previous article, the customer enters default by operation of law and, as of the due date, is liable to pay interest of 1.5% per month or part thereof, on the amount remaining outstanding All judicial and extra-judicial costs to be incurred, will be for the expense of the customer. The extra-judicial collection costs will be at least 15% of the sum payable by the customer.
