Delaney Foster Eternal sunshine of the spotty mind- The Glenwood School Broadcom MASTERS Award: The recipients of the Broadcom MASTERS award represent the top 10% of Junior Division projects at GEARSEF. Winners will receive a certificate and a letter of invitation to complete an online application for the Broadcom MASTERS competition. We had 34 junior level projects, so we can award 3 Broadcom MASTERS awards. These represent the best projects from the 6-8 grade at this fair. Ashlyn Steinbach, Becca Wommack, Jacob Abeyta - Blood, Sweat and Sugar- 3
4 Intel Excellence in Computer Science Award: This award goes to the overall best computer science related project in the Senior Division. The winner will receive a certificate and $200. Ianswer Johnson Animations: A computer generated world- Autaugaville School Mu Alpha Theta Award: This award is presented to one Senior Division project that best demonstrates challenging, original, thorough, and creative investigation of a problem using mathematics. Rohan Gupta Lithium Ion batteries for electric cars- Auburn High School National Society of Professional Engineering: The National Society of Professional Engineering honors the best overall engineering project from Jr. and Sr. divisions combined with a Certificate of Achievement and a lapel pin. Shane Vahjen Turning motion into energy- Glenwood School Ricoh Sustainable Development Award: This award recognizes the project that best reflects the principles of sustainability --balancing economic development with environmental responsibility. Both Jr. and Sr. level projects are eligible for this award. Daniel Corbett Insulation Exploration- Stockholm Junior Water Prize (certificate and chance to enter on-line competition) The Stockholm Water Foundation recognizes up to three Sr. level projects that best address water related issues. The winner(s) of this award are invited to enter a statewide on-line competition hosted by the Stockholm Water Foundation.
