1 Zero-Friction Seed Rounds TermSheet is an online fundraising platform from Humble Paper, Inc., that presents accredited investors with curated seed investment opportunities and helps with closing seed financing rounds rapidly. But TermSheet does much more than just match-make between angel investors and startups. We are re-engineering the way seed funding works by providing India s first open source set of standardised legal documents (Series Seed India Document). This helps investors and founders close deals with minimal friction and in 1/6th the time. HOW IT WORKS We continually iterate our onboarding, syndication and deal closing processes, so the following will change. When significant changes occur we ll alert you, but only if you re participating in a deal 1 INTEREST 2 PROFILE COMPLETION 3 CAMPAIGN You receive a periodic with brief information about one or more select startups that are raising a pre-seed, seed or bridge round. No fundraising information is presented at this stage. If you express interest in this startup, we will add you to our potential list of investors. But before that we will prompt you to update key profile information that we need to verify your identity. You will be asked to upload a scanned copy of your passport and provide tax identification numbers as appropriate to your jurisdiction. The identity verification process is a one-time step. Shortly thereafter, you will receive a campaign inviting you to the funding round. If you are a NRI, do not remit from an NRE account; we only process cross-border payments received in foreign currency as FDI or non-repatriable rupee payments. Do not delay in making a remittance once prompted to do so by TermSheet s team; we can cancel your participation in a round if you delay in remitting the amount. PRESS, COMMUNICATIONS & CONFIDENTIALITY TermSheet relies heavily on funding announcements post deal-closing to attract further interest from startups and investors; Please make sure you can be quoted or named in these press reports if you invest in a startup through TermSheet. During a fund raise, do not disclose details including the name of the startup, to third parties, including relatives, friends, business partners and employers, without the consent of the TermSheet team. During a fund raise, do not communicate with a startup s founders outside conversations that are facilitated by TermSheet; once the deal is complete please communicate directly with the founders without involving TermSheet. AUTHORITY & CAPACITY Keep your employer informed that you invest through TermSheet or take their express consent where the terms of employment (express contractual terms or HR guidelines) require.
