2 The Valcom MultiPath Communications System is a high-performance microprocessor controlled communications system designed for the needs of large facilities. It combines the features of an electronic telephone system with the capabilities of a sound and program distribution system, and includes emergency all call paging and alarm functions. The system supports up to four administrative ports for communications between administrators and zones. Each administrative port can be connected to a single line telephone, key system, or PBX as required for unlimited answering positions. the system also includes eight audio paths to simultaneously allow any combination of administrative phone and zone communications, paging, scheduled tones, and distribution of program material. Each zone is equipped with one or more loudspeakers to receive scheduled tones, program material, such as background music, emergency tones, page announcements and intercom. the system may also be equipped with call in switches, and supports both one-way and talkback speakers and horns to provide audio to production areas, hallways, outside locations, individual offices or classrooms. Since most features are controlled by software, system configuration is easily changed or upgraded. This feature allows management to easily manage shift changes, scheduled music distribution, break periods and release times. Eight schedules, 1024 possible tone events, your choice of tones and unlimited schedule storage combine to provide the ultimate in flexibility. Schedules may be set up to run automatically based on the day of the week or may be manually controlled. Windows Based Administrative Tool - Convenient! Unlike competitors that restrict management through cumbersome LCD display or telephone-based programming, MultiPath provides an innovative PC based Administrative Tool. Schedule changes, Music Distribution, Holiday Setup and system time/date are all managed in a comfortable point and click Windows environment. Handsfree Intercom - Convenient! Up to 360 zones may be individually accessed for one-way paging or hands free intercom communication. Staff members may initiate calls to management by simply pressing a call button in their work area. Several priorities of time sensitive, buttoninitiated call-in are available. Overhead Paging - Simple! With up to 360 individual zones, general announcements may be directed to all or any combination of speakers - all accomplished by simple telephone dial access. Emergency Paging - Effective! Built in page priorities allow management to take control of the intercom in emergency situations - we call it; call where you want, when you want. Area of Rescue - Adaptive! Inherent area of rescue functionality provides documented response times for crisis situations involving physically impaired staff. Emergency Tones - Efficient! Built In tones may be used for notification of impending tornadoes or fire, all clear status and other site required notifications. These tones may be automated or controlled via telephone and/or emergency switches. Customized Paging Groups - Versatile! MultiPath minimizes unnecessary disruptions to staff by providing the ability to call just the areas that need to hear the announcement. We offer more flexible groups than anyone in the industry. Program Distribution - Easy! Music, automated messages and other program material may be distributed automatically or manually through a Windows based Administrative Tool or through zone based music activation buttons. Door Entry Control - Safe! MultiPath easily manages facility entrances through door intercoms with call buttons and electric door lock control. Security Camera Activation - Safety! MultiPath can automate camera activation at facility entrances and secure areas. Coordinated Lighting - Convenient! MultiPath s inherent building control functionality allows management to automate the control of exterior lighting. Lights may be turned on and off automatically or by dialing a code on the telephone. Master Clock Control - Accurate!
