3 Preface Welcome to the Informatica MDM Hub Installation Guide. This guide explains how to perform a firsttime installation of Informatica MDM (9.5.1) Hub Server and the Cleanse Match Server on Websphere ND version. This guide is intended for system administrators, and implementers who are responsible for installing and setting up Informatica MDM Hub. System administrators must be familiar with their target operating system. Database administrators must be familiar with the database environment on which they are installing the Informatica MDM Hub. Knowledge of Oracle administration is particularly important. Other administration and configuration tasks are described in the Informatica MDM Hub Configuration Guide. This document is only for reference purpose and may vary from one customer environment to another. This is purely for assisting purpose and is not published by the Informatica Product Management Team. Page 3

4 Introduction This chapter includes the following topics: Before You Begin Installation Overview Before You Begin This chapter summarizes the installation process and describes steps that you must complete before proceeding with the MDM Hub installation. Before you begin, complete the following tasks: 1. Read the Informatica MDM Hub Release Notes for requirements and more information about preinstallation preparation. 2. Install and configure the cleanse engine according to the vendor instructions. 3. Read the Informatica MDM Hub Overview for an introduction to the product architecture and key components. For more information about product requirements and supported platforms, see the Product Availability Matrix on the Informatica Customer Portal: Installation Overview To install the MDM Hub, complete the following steps: 1. Install the Hub Store in your Oracle database. This section is not covered here as it is detailed completely in the MDM_951_InstallationGuideForWebSphere_en.pdf document. 2. Install the Hub Server software. 3. Install and configure one or more Cleanse Match Servers. 4. Launch the Hub Console and verify your installation. Page 4

5 Chapter 1: Hub Server Installation Follow below steps to install hub server binaries 1. Navigate to the MDM binaries folder where hub_install.bin is available 2. Start the installer using./hub_install.bin 3. Choose Locale as English 4. Agree the license agreement 5. Enter the MDM license location Provide the path 6. Choose an Install Folder Manually enter path 7. Confirm the input path as in Step Choose link Option Provide default option 9. Choose Application Server Choose WAS 10. Pre-requisite Warning Place JDBC drive file 11. WAS Enable Security Select Yes or No depending on the WAS Security you have 12. WAS Server Port Information (This may vary on environment basis, please check with WAS Admin) ServerName (Default server1) RMI Port (DEFAULT: 2809): 9810 SOAP Port (DEFAULT: 8880): 8880 Profile Name (DEFAULT: AppSrv01): MDMServer Username (DEFAULT: ): wasadmin Password (DEFAULT: ): Note:- The port specified here is for the MDMServer profile 13. Database Selection Choose the database 14. Oracle Database Connection Type - SID/Service 15. Oracle Database Information Server (DEFAULT: localhost): database.domain.net Port (DEFAULT: 1521): 1531 Oracle SID (DEFAULT: orcl): MDMPPRD System Schema (DEFAULT: cmx_system): CMX Username (DEFAULT: cmx): CMX Password (DEFAULT: ): <Enter cmx user password for DB> 16. 6 Chapter 2: Hub Server Deployment Follow below steps to deploy the MDM (siperian-mrm.ear file) manually 1. Navigate to the infamdm/hub/server/resources directory 2. Modify the cmxserver.properties file with change in below information cmx.appserver.soap.connector.port = Deployment Manager s Port cmx.websphere.security.enabled=blank or y depending on WAS security cmx.appserver.hostname =Comma separated host names cmx.appserver.rmi.port = Comma separated ports corresponding to profile server(s) For example, if the cluster has four servers that are running in host1, host2, host3, host4 using RMI ports 2812, 2813, 2814 and 2815 respectively, then the cmx.appserver.hostname and cmx.appserver.rmi.port property in <infamdm_install_directory>/hub/server/resources/cmxserver.properties would look like this: cmx.appserver.rmi.port=2812,2813,2814,2815 cmx.appserver.hostname=host1,host2,host3,host4 Ensure there is no space or tab between port numbers. These port numbers should be separated only by a comma, and host name and port numbers should be in the same order. For example, first server's host name and port number should be host1 and 2812; second server's host name and port number should be host2 and 2813 and so on. 3. Navigate to hub /server/bin folder and run./sip_ant.sh repackage 4. This step is based on your preference on whether you need to create datasource, jms, queue and connection factory by yourself or through script. In general for cluster setup this option has to be perform manually Hint: To make it easier, you can create resources automatically using below command./postinstallsetup.sh -Dwebsphere.password=was@123 -Ddatabase.password=<Enter DB password> The build will be successful but the deployment will fail here. postinstallsetup.log willshow that resources are created successfully. 5. To verify step 4, go to WAS console and test the DB connection for siperian-cmx_system-ds 6. Navigate to Applications-> WebSphere enterprise applications and click Uninstall if MDM is already stalled. 7. Navigate to Applications-> WebSphere enterprise applications and click Install. 8. Select Remote file system and Click Browse 9. Select your node 10. Navigate to <infamdm> Directory (Ex: /opt/app/infamdm/hub/server) and select the siperianmrm.ear file and Press OK 11. Press Next in this screen. 12. Select Detailed - Show all installation options and parameters and Press Next 13. Press Next 14. Press Next for all the next screens until Step 8 where we need to change one property 15. Enter the string cmx.server.masterejb for the AdminRepositoryBean. Initially this space will be empty in which the string needs to be copied. Page 6

7 16. Click browse and select the siperian.mrm.jms.xaconnectionfactory and click Apply 17. Press Next for next all the screens until Step 13 : Summary page where Finish needs to be clicked. Press Finish. 18. Stop and start the application as below: 19. Test the Hub console by launching the URL In case hub console is not getting launched and if your Websphere is security enabled then follow the below step. a. Navigate to Service Integration->Buses and select the SiperianBus b. Click On security. c. Uncheck Enable Bus Security d. Click Apply and Click Save 21. Restart application server and re-test the Hub Console Page 7

8 Chapter 3: Cleanse Server Installation Follow below steps to install hub server binaries 1. Navigate to the MDM binaries folder where hub_cleanse_install.bin is available 2. Start the installer using./hub_cleanse_install.bin 3. Choose Locale as English 4. Agree the license agreement 5. Enter the MDM license location Provide the path 6. Choose an Install Folder Manually enter path 7. Confirm the input path as in Step Choose link Option Provide default option 9. Choose Application Server Choose WAS 10. WAS Enable Security Select Yes or No depending on the WAS Security you have 11. WAS Server Port Information (This may vary on environment basis, please check with WAS Admin) ServerName (Default server1) RMI Port (DEFAULT: 2809): <Give RMI/Bootstrap port of profile server> SOAP Port (DEFAULT: 8880): <Give SOAP port of profile server> Profile Name (DEFAULT: AppSrv01): <Give Profile server name> Username (DEFAULT: ): <Give WAS admin username> Password (DEFAULT: ): <Give WAS admin password> Note:- The port specified here is for the MDMServer 12. 9 Chapter 4: Cleanse Server Deployment Follow below steps to deploy the siperian-mrm-cleanse.ear file 1. Navigate to the infamdm/hub/cleanse/resources directory 2. Modify the cmxcleanse.properties file with change in below information 3. cmx.appserver.soap.connector.port = Deployment Manager s Port 4. Navigate to hub /cleanse/bin folder and run./sip_ant.sh repackage 5. Open websphere admin console 6. Navigate to Applications -> websphere enterprise applications and click Install 7. Select Remote file system and Click Browse 8. Select MDMServerNode 9. Navigate to <infamdm> Directory (Ex: /opt/app/infamdm/hub/cleanse) and select the siperianmrm-cleanse.ear file and Press OK. 10. Press Next in this screen. 11. Select Detailed - Show all installation options and parameters and Press Next 12. Press Next 13. Press Next for all the next screens until Step 8 where the Finish button needs to be clicked as shown below: 14. Click Save to complete the installation process. 15. Restart application server Page 9
