2 Agenda FieldCare is an Endress+Hauser frame application that is focused on the process industry. Over the years, certain enhancements were added to FieldCare in order to provide a closer integration of DTMs and bypass certain FDT 1.x limitations. These enhancements are also included throughout the latest generation of Endress+Hauser FDT frame applications. This talk describes the specific integration mechanisms as well as best practices in order to enable Comm-/Gateway/Device-DTM vendors to reach a deeper integration within current and future Endress+Hauser FDT frame applications. 12 Frame Integration - Quality Scanning FDT 1.2 scanning functionality is limited Example A customer has bought three E+H Prosonic Flow devices All three have (of course) the same Manufacturer / Device Type ID but a different Device Revision A different DTM exists for each version of the device Identifying the correct DTM with plain FDT 1.2 scanning mechanisms would not be possible (Device Revision information not available for matching ) Slide 13

19 Frame Integration - Condition Monitoring Guideline defines how Comm-/Gateway DTMs shall be implemented to support advanced Condition Monitoring scenarios Architectural considerations: Connections per channel, logging, simulation capabilities, Development / Test: Static code analysis, prevent memory and handle leakage, CM test scenarios Debugging: Create and store the PDB files for each version that you have released!
