Uder his directio, Yavapai developed the most successful Juior College soccer program i the atio, capturig 71 champioships icludig seve atioal champioships, 18 fial four fiishes, a combied 41 regio ad district champioships alog with 23 coferece titles. He curretly has the best wiig percetage of ay collegiate me s soccer coach ( /.904) ad is the all-time leader i JUCO wis (535). I 1995, he was selected as the recipiet of the NSCAA/ NISOA Natioal Merit Hoor awarded to oe college coach (2-year or 4-year/me s or wome s) whose reputatio is recogized as praiseworthy, ad reflective of the highest stadards of professioal ad ethical behavior. Additioally, hoors iclude seve NJCAA ad five NSCAA Natioal Coach of the Year Awards alog with beig amed NSCAA West Regio Coach of the Year 15 times. I 2006, he was the first active coach elected to the NJCAA Soccer Hall of Fame. I 2012, he received the prestigious NJCAA Natioal Service Award give to those who have made sigificat cotributios to juior college athletics. A ative of Philadelphia ad a former goalkeeper, Patalioe previously coached soccer at the Uiversity of Wiscosi-Gree Bay, Uiversity of Motaa, Keyo College i Ohio, Jesuit High School i Portlad, Orego ad Archbishop Wood High School i Philadelphia. He graduated from the Uiversity of Motaa ad eared his iteratioal soccer coachig licese i Eglad. Patalioe fouded, developed, ad directed youth soccer i Motaa, icludig the first state program i Missoula. I additio, Patalioe has directed ad coached various summer soccer camps across the atio. I 1980, he was amed atioal soccer coach of the year by Special Olympics, Ic. of Washigto, D.C. He is a 37-year member of the Natioal Soccer Coaches Associatio of America ad is the Natioal Chair for the JUCO Soccer Rakigs & Natioal Chair for the JUCO Soccer Hall of Fame Committee. HUGH BELL was selected as Yavapai s first associate soccer coach i 1992, the year the Roughriders wo their secod atioal champioship. I 2008, he was iducted ito the NJCAA Soccer Hall of Fame. I 2003, Bell was hoored with the AFLAC Natioal Assistat Soccer Coach of the Year award i a ceremoy held at the America West Area i Phoeix. Bell was also selected as a fialist for the 2004 NSCAA Natioal Assistat Coach of the Year award. Bell previously coached several clubs, three differet high school programs i Arizoa, ad at Scottsdale Commuity College. He came from Belfast, Norther Irelad where he played o umerous clubs as a attacker. He graduated from Arizoa State Uiversity, holds a atioal coachig licese ad is a log-time member of the Natioal Soccer Coaches Associatio of America. 19 Ke Lidley Field History Sice 1908, the area of Prescott ow kow as Ke Lidley Field has bee used as a public park ad ballfield. The lad was deeded to the City of Prescott by Charles T. ad Ada M. Josli i I 1931, durig the Great Depressio, the gradstad was costructed o the corer of Gurley & Washigto Streets. The gradstad is costructed of cast cocrete i a veracular style with a slight Art Deco ifluece. I 1934, the area surroudig the field was defied for the costructio of bleachers made of ative stoe as a Civil Works Admiistratio project. City Park & Ballfield was reamed Ke Lidley Field i 1971 i memory of Prescott s Chief of Police who died i The first itercollegiate soccer match took place i 1989 whe Yavapai defeated Victor Valley CC 13-0 o guarateed wi ight. Today the park is listed i the Natioal Register of Historic Places with a seatig capacity of 3000, featurig a 116 x75 yd., grass surface, soccer field 5368 feet above sea level.
