Metal U-Channel & Flexible Fuzz Strips Black vs. Polished Stainless Cars: Originally black, cloth-wrapped or metal beaded edges by Ford, and that's how we build them today. Option: Some of these kits are available with polished stainless steel edge beading for around the window openings. If you desire this option, order the kit part number with "-SS" in the part number suffix, if available Cars: These kits come only with polished stainless steel edge beading for around the window openings, just as all these cars had originally. Front Mount Handle Order part # with "-F" in suffix Center Mount Handle Order part # with "-C" in suffix FUZZY TYPE Front Mount Door Handle fits directly on door latch. Order kit part # with "-F" (front) suffix. Center Mount Door Handle fits on remote handle mount near center of door. Kit with Felt Strips: Order part # with "-B" in suffix RUBBER TYPE Check your door and quarter windows, as these cars and pickups came with either Rubber Bumpers ("-A" in part # suffix) or Felt Strips ("-B" in part number suffix) that fit on the door or garnish molding between the metal and glass, to cushion the window glass Closed Cars & Convertibles Vent Window Glass Edge Seals We include RH & LH vent window glass edge seals in all kits, which attach to the division bar and seal the rear edge of the vent window glass when closed Coupes Ford made two types of Coupes and the doors are different sizes. Measure your window opening between the vent window division bar and the inside edge of the rear post. Sedan Coupe (large door) approximately 26" Business Coupe (small door) approximately 171/2" Coupes & Sedans On the inside of each of the front doors there is a large metal channel that mounts vertically to guide the front edge of the door glass. Ford used two different lower mounting brackets on this vertical channel. 2 Doors Car Front Doors Our kits for are identical to the originals. Their fit and function are right-on because they re made with the same materials that Ford originally used. The glass fits into the channel while the regulator arms fasten to the bracket on the bottom of the channel.
