5 Translating and Interpreting Service The Government provides funding to aged care homes to access interpreting services. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship s Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) is an interpreting service that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides telephone and onsite interpreting services. 11 Information in Languages If your organisation would like to access Department of Human Services information in many different languages, you can go to this DHS website and download and print the information yourself: This list of translated publications is provided by category and publication for community groups to help customers. This includes information about Medicare, Centrelink and Child Support payments and services. The department provides translated publications in over 60 languages. You can select from the list to do an automatic search that will show the information in all translated languages. Page 11
