2 Major changes introduction Due to major construction works of the msterdem subway facilities: NOORD-ZUID LIJN, some changes to the race course had to be made. Due to a lack of permissions to pass Toronto bridge the startarea will be different from past years The free time in between event blocks will be used by major ships to transport excavations from city centre via the mstel just passed the Rozenoordbridges Just beyond the Rozenoordbridges these ships are ancored on the cooling down side. e aware of obstructions. 11 Regatta course(race) The course is 8km Pre start is marked with white flags Start is marked with red flags Finish is marked with white flags Start interval is 15 seconds per crew. Per event will be a minimum of 2 to 5 minutes delay. Head of the River mstel Stuurliedenvergadering

12 Race (ouys 1) Please note the race course diagrams and memorise the race course and the warm up and cool down areas. Extra warm up capacity is available in the small canals along the mstel. Head of the River mstel Stuurliedenvergadering

13 Race(bouys 2) There are two colors and two sizes for the bouys Small bouys Yellow: You are allowed to overtake other crews. Orange: It is forbidden to overtake crews in the warm up and cool down area. Large bouys eware of the size of buoys. There also is a chance that your blades get stuck in the nets covering the bouys. 19 Race (Overtaking) The fastest crew is free to decide their course. The slower crew must not hinder the faster crew and must allow for the faster crew to continue their race in the preferred route. 30 Cool down Pass the bridge in ouderkerk to rest en return later to the boathouse area Rowing back you must row for 1500 meters to be allowed to rest. To help assist crews with problems after the finish there is a pontoon available Head of the River mstel Stuurliedenvergadering

31 Passing Ouderkerk ridge Every team needs to pass the bridge into ouderkerk Starboard bridge opening towards Ouderker Centre. Middle bridge opening to go back to msterdam Head of the River mstel Stuurliedenvergadering

32 Protest Protests must be made visible by raising your hand when passing the finish. The official after the finish will ask you for some information and inform you to hand in a written protest to the board of the jury. The board of the jury is situated in the board room of rowing club Willem III Please be available to the board of the jury for further questioning or the result.
