1 INTERNATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION UNION TELECOMMUNICATION STANDARDIZATION SECTOR STUDY PERIOD English only Original: English Question(s): 1/13 Mar del Plata, Argentina, 2-12 September 2009 Ref.: TD 67 (PLEN/13) Annex 11 Source: ITU-T SG 13 (Mar del Plata, Argentina, 2-12 September 2009) Title: LS to and 2 on coordination for NGN LIAISON STATEMENT For action to:, 2 For comment to: For information to: Approval: Agreed to at ITU-T SG 13 meeting Deadline: 18 January 2010 Contact:. Hideo Imanaka NTT Corporation Japan Tel: Fax: imanaka.hideo<at>lab.ntt.co.jp SG13 continued to discuss related issues in its meeting at Mal Del Plata on 2-12 September 2009, since the task to study mobile telecommunication network of previous SG19 was merged into SG13 by the WTSA 08. SG13 has identified the comprehensive work progressed in and 2, and the importance of the coordination between your organization and SG13. We expect to align our related work with your specifications. To this end, as the first step, we started to coordinate by using management roadmap as you find attached. SG13 would appreciate it if you noted the roadmap and could provide us with relevant information on your latest achievements, for coordination purposes. SG13 is also glad to inform you about the NGN database, which can be found at: SG13 believes the database can be useful for you. Attention: Some or all of the material attached to this liaison statement may be subject to ITU copyright. In such a case this will be indicated in the individual document. 2 Attachment Mobility management roadmap Introduction This document, NGN-MM roadmap, is an informative document that organizes management-related documents in NGN by each item and stage. The coordinated set of detailed requirements and various questions involved in works would be clarified by using this document. 2. NGN-MM roadmap The following tables organize the NGN-MM capabilities and related Recommendations. The categories and sub-categories are derived from draft Recommendation Y.NGN-R2-Reqts (NGN Release 2 Requirements). In the tables, grayed-out parts show that there is no reference to other Recommendations. This means that existing Recommendations should be found in the roadmap, and new Recommendations should be made. The gaps indicated by gray boxes can be easily found in the tables. 2.1 The role of NGN-MM-roadmap document The purpose of the NGN-MM roadmap document is to identify the Recommendation set of ITU-T s management-related documents in NGN. Therefore, all boxes in the table of the NGN- MM-roadmap document should show the names of the ITU-T Recommendations and/or the names of documents of other SDOs at the end of the standardization phase. 2.2 Assigning Questions The assigned Questions should confirm ITU-T s management-related documents, and decide how to be used as the Recommendations of ITU-T for each item. Therefore, it is necessary to assign the Questions for boxes in the table in the NGN roadmap document. (The Questions in charge of the boxes are listed in the top part of the boxes in the table. )
