The members of the TBONE routinely inquire about the acute care program to fill the positions in the Intensive Care Units, emergency rooms, and other areas that have a great need for advance practice nurses at this level. Acute Care Nurse Practitioners are needed to help assess and manage acutely ill patients within the inpatient/hospital setting and across hospital-to-clinic settings, including the emergency department, intensive care unit, specialty labs, acute and step-down units, and specialty clinics.
