2 All the offers, benefits and services outlined below are available to customers who hold a valid HSBC Visa Infinite credit card (the Card ) ( Cardholders ) issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore Branch ( HSBC ) unless otherwise stated. These Terms and Conditions are between the Cardholder and HSBC and apply to the above mentioned offers, benefits and services. HSBC reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions and/or withdraw the mentioned offers, benefits and services at any time without notice. HSBC accepts no liability for the goods and services provided by any merchant or service provider. In case of any disputes, the decision of HSBC, the respective merchants and service providers shall befinal. All information is correct at the time of printing or posting online. The HSBC Cardholder s Agreement applies and should be read together with these Terms and Conditions. Please visit hsbc.com.sg/hsbcvi for the latest Terms & Conditions pertaining to the HSBC Visa Infinite card. HSBC S REWARDS PROGRAMME (THE PROGRAMME ) 1. The Cardholder earns 2.5 HSBC s Rewards points ( Points ) for every S$1 spent locally excluding fund transfers, cash advances, finance charges, late charges and fees. 2. The Cardholder earns 5 Points for every S$1 spent overseas excluding fund transfers, cash advances, finance charges, late charges and fees. 3. In the first year commencing from the date of issuance of the Card ( Year 1 ), if the Cardholder has spent more than S$50,000 or S$75,000 (as the case may be, posted retail transactions excluding fund transfers, cash advances, finance charges, late charges, fees and tax payments via HSBC tax payment facility), he will subsequently be entitled to a higher Points earn rate in the following year as described in the table below. Calculation of the spend amount will be done on the day falling one day before the anniversary date of issuance of the Card ( Calculation Date ). If the Calculation Date falls on a public holiday, the calculation will be done on the immediately preceding day which is not a public holiday. The new Points earn rate will be effective on the anniversary date of issuance of the Card. In subsequent years, the Points earn rate that the Cardholder is entitled to will continue to be determined and awarded in the same manner by his spend amount in the immediately preceding year. Points awarded in Year 1 shall be redeemable for a period of three years from the date of issuance of the Card after which these Points will be reduced to zero. Points accumulated in each successive year after Year 1 shall be valid for a period of three years from the commencement of that year, after which the Points will be reduced to zero. 5. To start converting Points into KrisFlyer or Asia Miles, Cardholders must enrol or be enrolled in HSBC s Mileage Programme (the Mileage Programme ) and KrisFlyer and/or Asia Miles frequent flyer programmes. An annual programme fee of S$40 (subject to GST) applies to Cardholders who enrol in the Mileage Programme. 6. Cardholders must transfer Points in blocks of 5,000 Points from their Card account(s) to KrisFlyer and/or Asia Miles each time a transfer is made. Every block of 5,000 Points is redeemable for 2,000 KrisFlyer or Asia Miles. 7. 3 HSBC VISA INFINITE TRAVEL AND LIFESTYLE BUTLER SERVICES Services 1. The Services will involve HSBC introducing primary Cardholders and (for selected services only) supplementary Cardholders to certain third parties ( Third Party Service Providers ) and, whilst HSBC will exercise care and diligence in selecting the Third Party Service Providers, HSBC does not guarantee the quality of any Third Party Service Provider and the services that they provide and HSBC will not be liable to the Cardholders for any acts or omissions of the Third Party Service Providers. The Cardholder must make his/her own final selection of who to appoint to provide any of the underlying services. HSBC and Third Party Service Providers reserve the rights to vary these Terms and Conditions without notice, or withdraw or discontinue the services at any time without any notice or liability to any party. 2. In order to request any of the Services, the Cardholder should contact HSBC on (in Singapore), (outside Singapore), or any other channels as determined by HSBC (hereinafter referred to as HSBC Visa Infinite Butler ). This service is offered by Aspire Lifestyles (in association with International SOS Pte Ltd) on behalf of HSBC. 3. The Services are available in selected countries worldwide. For further details on the countries of availability, Cardholders should contact HSBC Visa Infinite Butler. 4. The Services are outlined in clauses 5 to 59 below. For convenience, the Services have been grouped together under headings. International Airport VIP Services Minimum Spend Requirement Terms and Conditions 5. Subject to paragraph 6 below, Cardholders must charge a minimum of S$5,000 in Eligible Purchases (as defined below) ( Minimum Spend Criteria ) during a particular Quarter (as defined below) to their HSBC Visa Infinite Card to be eligible for the unlimited and complimentary International Airport VIP Services set out below at any time during such Quarter, with the exception of Airport Lounge access. 6. New Cardholders who are in their first Quarter can, in such first Quarter, enjoy a one-time use of each of the following complimentary International Airport VIP services: home to airport limousine transfer, and access to expedited immigration clearance. Any additional usage of the International Airport VIP Services in the first Quarter will be charged according to the charges set out in paragraph 12 below. Thereafter, the Minimum Spend Criteria will apply. 7. Cardholders who enjoy a higher points earn rate (please refer to the table found on Page 2 of this booklet) based on their previous year card spend of more than S$50,000 or S$75,000 (which is made up of posted retail transactions excluding fund transfers, cash advances, finance charges, late charges fees and tax payment via HSBC tax payment facility) will not be required to meet the Minimum Spend Criteria to enjoy unlimited and complimentary International Airport VIP Services in the following year. 8. For the purposes of entitlement of the International Airport VIP Services, Eligible Purchases (as defined below) made by both principle and supplementary Cardholders will be consolidated under the principle Cardholder s main card account ( Account ) 9. Eligible Purchases means retail purchases made locally or overseas, and recurring payments like GIRO and interestfree Installment Payment Plan (only the amount billed on the credit card for any particular month and not the full instalment amount), and excludes fund transfers, financial charges, late charges, fees and tax payments via HSBC s tax payment facility. 10. All Eligible Purchases will have to be posted into HSBC s credit card systems before the end of each qualifying quarter (the Quarter ). HSBC bears no liability for any late submission of any purchase by any merchant for whatever reason. If a Cardholder fails to meet the Minimum Spend Criteria in a Quarter, HSBC will debit the applicable charges and surcharges incurred in relation to the International Airport VIP Services from the Cardholder s Account within two months after the end of that Quarter. 12. The charges will be calculated in the following manner: International Airport VIP Services Airport Limousine service Expedited Immigration Clearance - For international airports Charge per service booked S$45 (inclusive of 1 Cardholder and up to 2 other guests travelling together) US$65 - US$385 per person depending on location 13. All other applicable surcharges relating to the International Airport VIP Services will also be debited from the Cardholder s Account. 14. In the event that the relevant Account is delinquent, voluntarily or involuntarily closed or terminated or suspended for any reasons whatsoever before the charges are debited from the said Account, HSBC reserves the right to claim the amount from the principle Cardholder by other means. 15. In case of any dispute, the decisions of HSBC on all matters relating to the debiting of charges and/or surcharges are final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained. 16. HSBC reserves the right to vary the terms of or amend the charges and/or surcharges any time without notice. 17. All information is correct at time of printing. International Airport VIP Services 18. Airport Lounge Access Service The Airport Lounge Access Service is only available to the primary and supplementary Cardholders. A Priority Pass Membership card will be automatically issued to the primary Cardholder and the supplementary Cardholder(s) 14 working days after the primary and/or supplementary Card(s) is approved. To gain complimentary access to any of the participating airport lounges, the primary and/or supplementary Cardholder has to present his Priority Pass Membership card to the lounge operator and sign a Record of Visit Voucher. Complimentary access is only granted to the primary and/or supplementary Cardholder who presents his valid Priority Pass Membership card upon entry. If the primary and/or supplementary Cardholder brings a guest(s), guest charges apply at S$35 per guest per visit according to the number of guests indicated in the Record of Visit Voucher. All guest visits are chargeable. Guest charges will be charged to the Cardholder s Card within 4 months after the visit, or as and when HSBC receives the guest visit details from Priority Pass. Guest charges are subject to change without prior notice at HSBC s discretion. For more information and full terms and conditions of the Priority Pass programme, visit Airport VIP Service (Expedited Immigration Clearance) HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for the primary Cardholder to have Meet and Greet, luggage clearance and immigration services ( Airport VIP Service ). The Airport VIP Service is only available to the primary Cardholder and his accompanying guest(s). For selected international airports: The primary Cardholder must book the international Airport VIP Service by calling the HSBC Visa Infinite Butler hotline at least three (3) (and up to a maximum of fourteen (14)) working days in advance. Each primary Cardholder can only have one outstanding booking for this service at any one time. One accompanying guest of the primary Cardholder can benefit from the international Airport VIP Service provided that the parties are on the same flight. Additional guest charges are dependent on destination and primary Cardholder may call the HSBC Visa Infinite Butler hotline for details. The international Airport VIP Service is available at major airports within Asia, subject to availability. The list of airports is subject to change and the services at certain airports may not be available from time to time due to local restrictions at the time of service. 5 Provider. The primary Cardholder may call the HSBC Visa Infinite Butler hotline for the latest list of participating airports. The primary Cardholder must communicate any changes to the Third Party Service Provider by calling the HSBC Visa Infinite Butler hotline at least 48 hours before the anticipated time of arrival at the airport. Cancellation fees apply for a change or cancellation requested less than 48 hours before the anticipated time of arrival at the airport and vary according to airports. Primary Cardholder may call the HSBC Visa Infinite Butler hotline for details. The following charges are applicable and payable by the primary Cardholder: If a change or cancellation is requested by the primary Cardholder between 48 hours and 24 hours before the anticipated time of arrival at the airport, the Primary Cardholder will be charged 50% of the applicable cancellation fee. No changes are allowed less than 24 hours before the anticipated time of arrival at the airport. The Primary Cardholder will be charged 100% of the cancellation fee if he changes or cancels the service less than 24 hours before the anticipated time of arrival at the airport or if he fails to show up at the airport at the anticipated time of arrival. 20. Airport Limousine Service HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for limousine transportation from an agreed destination in Singapore to Changi Airport in Singapore. Two accompanying guests of the primary Cardholder can use the Airport Limousine Service with the primary Cardholder provided that the parties are on the same limousine and flight. The primary Cardholder must be on a valid flight leaving from Changi Airport in Singapore to use the complimentary Airport Limousine Service. Each primary Cardholder can only have one outstanding booking for this service at any one time. Only one single pick-up point is permitted. An extra-stop surcharge of S$10 is applicable for each extra destination stop that results in a deviation of less than 1km from the route to the airport. An extra-stop surcharge of S$20 is applicable for each extra destination stop that results in a deviation of more than 1km from the route to the airport. Extra destination stops that result in a deviation of more than 2km from the route to the airport are not permitted. In the event of a dispute, the distance calculation provided by the relevant Third Party Service Provider is final. A surcharge of S$12 is payable where the collection or drop off is from 12am to 5.59am (both timings inclusive). An excess waiting time surcharge of S$10 is payable for every 15 minute block after an initial period of 15 minutes from the agreed collection time. If the waiting time exceeds 45 minutes (including the initial period of 15 minutes from the agreed collection time), it will be treated as no show. A no show is defined as the primary Cardholder failing to show up for an arranged Airport Limousine Service, and will be treated as having utilized the service. An island surcharge of S$10 is payable for collections from Sentosa Island and a surcharge of S$15 is payable for collections from Jurong Island. The above surcharges are applicable and payable by the primary Cardholder to the limousine driver. Surcharges are subject to change in accordance with approved surcharges by the Public Transport Council without prior notice. The primary Cardholder shall book the Airport Limousine Service by calling the HSBC Visa Infinite Butler hotline at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the agreed collection time. Any cancellation of such booking shall be notified no later than twelve (12) hours in advance of the agreed collection time, failing which a cancellation fee is chargeable. The following charges are applicable and payable by the primary Cardholder: S$10 cancellation fee is payable for cancellations made within 1 hour of the agreed collection time. S$10 amendment fee is payable for any changes made by the primary Cardholder within 1 hour of the agreed collection time. S$40 cancellation fee is payable for jobs cancelled less than 30 minutes prior to the agreed collection time (together with the surcharge of S$12 if collection or drop off was scheduled to be from 12am to 5.59am, both timings inclusive). The Airport Limousine service is subject to availability. The limousine model is pre-determined and at the sole discretion of HSBC and/or its agents, contractors or representatives. Neither HSBC nor its agents will be responsible for any late pick up or long travel time as a result of unforeseen conditions such as bad weather, road and traffic conditions (and similar conditions) that may cause Cardmembers to 5 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 5 20/04/ :05

6 arrive late or miss their flight. Cardholders are encouraged to book their airport limousine pick up at least two and a half hours before the flight departure time to ensure sufficient time to reach the airport. Medical Assistance 21. Telephone Medical Advice HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will arrange for Third Party Service Providers to make available telephone contact details of medically trained third parties for the Cardholders to contact via telephone whilst the Cardholder is travelling outside of Singapore. The purpose of such contact is for advice only and a diagnosis cannot be given over the telephone. 22. Medical Service Provider Referral HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall arrange for Third Party Service Providers to make available to Cardholders travelling outside of Singapore the name, address, telephone number and, if available, office hours of physicians, hospitals, clinics, dentists and dental clinics (collectively, Medical Service Providers ). Any fees of the Medical Service Providers will be borne by the Cardholder. 23. Assistance with Hospital Admission If the medical condition of a Cardholder is of such gravity as to require hospitalisation whilst they are outside of Singapore, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will arrange for Third Party Service Providers to assist such Cardholder arranging the hospital admission. 24. Guarantee of Medical Expenses Incurred during Hospitalisation and Monitoring of Medical Condition and Expenses during Hospitalisation HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will, subject to first securing payment from the Cardholder through the Cardholder s credit card or from funds from the Cardholder s family, arrange for Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder by guaranteeing on behalf of the Cardholder any medical expenses incurred during a Cardholder s hospitalisation, where such guarantee is required by the hospital. The Cardholder hereby consents to HSBC processing such payment through the Cardholder s HSBC credit card for this purpose. In the event that a Third Party Service Provider has guaranteed hospital expenses, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall, subject to confidentiality and authorisation and obtaining sufficient information from the hospital, procure such Third Party Service Provider to ensure that the hospitalisation expenses incurred by the Cardholder are reasonable and customary and consistent both with reasonable standards for the Cardholder s condition and location. 25. Emergency Credit Limit Increase due to Overseas Hospitalisation If requested by the Cardholder or, in circumstances where the Cardholder cannot make such request (for example, in the case of medical incapacity of the Cardholder), if it is deemed appropriate in all of the reasonable circumstances of the case, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will, subject to confidentiality and authorisation restrictions, procure Third Party Service Providers to liaise with the hospital to obtain an estimate of the medical expenses and HSBC may, at its discretion and subject to the Cardholder s account being in good standing, grant an emergency increase in the limit of the Cardholder s credit card to enable the Cardholder to meet the medical expenses. 26. Arrangement of Emergency Medical Evacuation In the case of medical emergency which the hospital cannot adequately treat, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for the provision of air and/or surface transportation, medical care during transportation, communications and all usual ancillary services required to move the Cardholder to the nearest hospital where medical practitioners say that appropriate medical care is available. HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will, where deemed necessary by the hospital, procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for the provision of appropriate communication and linguistic capabilities, mobile medical equipment and medically trained escort crew. The cost of such evacuation will be met by the Cardholder. 27. Arrangement of Emergency Medical Repatriation Where the medical condition of the Cardholder will not prevent medically supervised repatriation in the sole opinion of the hospital and where requested by the Cardholder or the Cardholder s personal representatives, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for the return of the Cardholder to Singapore following the Cardholder s emergency medical evacuation and hospitalisation outside Singapore. HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will, where deemed necessary by the hospital, procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for the provision of appropriate communication and linguistic capabilities, mobile medical equipment and medically trained escort crew. 6 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 6 20/04/ :05

7 The cost of such repatriation will be met by the Cardholder. 28. Arrangement of Repatriation of Mortal Remains Where requested by the Cardholder s personal representatives or the hospital, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for the transportation of the Cardholder s mortal remains to Singapore or, if requested by the Cardholder s personal representatives or family, arrange for local burial at the place of death. The cost of such repatriation or burial will be recoverable from the estate of the Cardholder. 29. Arrangement of Compassionate Visit Where requested by the Cardholder or the Cardholder s personal representatives, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for one return flight for a relative or a friend of the Cardholder wishing to join the Cardholder who, when travelling alone, is hospitalised outside of Singapore. The cost of such flight will be met by the Cardholder. 30. Arrangement of Return of Minor Children Where requested by the Cardholder or the Cardholder s personal representative, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange for a one-way flight for the return of minor children to Singapore if they are left unattended as a result of the accompanying Cardholder s illness, accident or emergency medical evacuation. Escort will be provided, when requested. The cost of such flight will be met by the Cardholder. 31. Loss of Capacity In the event that the Cardholder is unable to give instructions in respect of the medical assistance that may be required under paragraphs 8 to 14, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall try to contact the Cardholder s family, personal representatives or next of kin. In the event that HSBC Visa Infinite Butler is unable make such contact, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall be entitled (but not obliged) to accept instructions of any nature believed by HSBC to be genuinely given by the family, personal representative or next of kin of the Cardholder. The Cardholder shall keep HSBC indemnified at all times against all actions, proceedings, claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses incurred by HSBC as a result of accepting instructions received from or purportedly given by family, personal representatives or next of kin and acting or failing to act thereon. In the event that HSBC Visa Infinite Butler is unable to contact the Cardholder s family, personal representative or next of kin to obtain instructions, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to provide assistance in respect of emergency medical services, procedures and transportation which medical practitioners deem at their discretion to be reasonably necessary in the medical interest and safety of the Cardholder. For the avoidance of doubt, any expenses incurred in such circumstances shall be met by the Cardholder. 32. Exclusions HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall not be required to provide, nor procure Third Party Service Providers to provide, medical assistance with respect to illness, bodily injury or death arising from: (a) pregnancy and complications therefrom, childbirth, abortion, miscarriage, birth control, infertility tests or treatments. Complications from pregnancy include, but are not limited to, toxaemia, eclampsia, hydatidiform moles, hyperemesis gravidarum and therapeutic abortion; (b) routine physical or other examinations not incidental to the treatment or diagnosis of an injury, sickness or disease; (c) elective, cosmetic, reconstructive or plastic surgery unless caused by accident; (d) treatment for alcoholism or drug abuse, sleep disorder, self-inflicted injuries, suicide or attempted suicide, or voluntary exposure to danger in an attempt to save a human life; (e) treatment for psychiatric, psychotic, mental or nervous disorders, including neuroses and their physiological or psychosomatic manifestations; (f) treatments relating to birth defects, including hereditary conditions and congenital conditions or abnormalities; (g) treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS and all illness or diseases in the presence of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV); (h) war, whether declared or not, civil war, acts of enemies, hostilities, participation in assaults, rebellion or active participation in riots or civil war commotion, violation or attempted violation of the law and resistance to lawful arrest (including acts of terrorism); 7 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 7 20/04/ :05

8 (i) (j) sickness or injury arising from sporting activities for competition or professional purposes, including but not limited to, racing of any kind (except foot racing), water skiing, underwater activities requiring breathing apparatus and winter sport; while the cardholder is engaged or participating in aeronautics or aviation except as a fare-paying passenger of a property licensed aircraft operated by a licensed commercial air carrier or owned and operated by a commercial concern; (k) resulting from the participation of cardholder in a fight or any criminal acts; (l) caused by or arising from ionizing radiation, contamination by radioactivity from any irradiated nuclear fuel, or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel or a radioactive toxic explosive, or by any other hazardous properties of any explosive nuclear assembly or nuclear component thereof; (m) any infectious disease that may prevent HSBC Visa Infinite Butler to fulfill its contractual obligations in a normal fashion; or (n) an illness occurring during journeys of more than 60 days, or if the journey was undertaken against the advice of a physician, and/or for the purpose of obtaining or seeking any medical or surgical treatment abroad, or for any pre-existing illness. Travel Assistance 33. Lost or Stolen Cards Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist a Cardholder who has lost his/her credit cards due to misplacement or theft, while travelling outside of Singapore by referring the Cardholder to the appropriate authorities involved. 34. Hotel Bill Settlement Assistance due to Lost or Stolen Cards HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist a Cardholder who has lost his/her credit cards due to such misplacement or theft while travelling outside of Singapore in the interim settlement of the Cardholder s hotel bills. For the avoidance of doubt, such bills will be charged to the Cardholder s account and shall be payable by the Cardholder. 35. Emergency Cash Advance Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to arrange emergency cash advance, up to a limit of US$1,000, for the Cardholder travelling outside of Singapore, subject to such Third Party Service Provider first securing payment from the Cardholder through his/her credit card or funds from the Cardholder s family. The Cardholder hereby consents to HSBC processing such payment through the Cardholder s HSBC credit card for this purpose. 36. Lost Luggage Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist a Cardholder who has lost his/her luggage while travelling outside of Singapore by referring the Cardholder to the appropriate authorities involved. 37. Lost Passport Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder who has lost his/her passport while travelling outside of Singapore by referring the Cardholder to the appropriate authorities involved. 38. Emergency Message Transmission Assistance In the event of a medical emergency, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder to transmit urgent messages to the Cardholder s family, personal representatives, friends or business associates upon the Cardholder s request. 39. Interpreter Referral Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the names, telephone numbers and, if possible and requested, hours of opening of interpreters office in foreign countries. Travel Services 40. 9 for International Travel (for inoculations) and the ABC Guide to International Travel Information (for visas). 41. Hotel Referral and Reservation Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the name, address and telephone number of hotels and holiday resorts in major cities to the Cardholder. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the reservation on behalf of the Cardholder. 42. Train or Rail Information and Ticketing HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the name, address and telephone number of train/rail operators in major cities as well as departure/arrival times whenever possible. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the reservation on behalf of the Cardholder. 43. Flight Information and Ticketing Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the name, address and telephone number of airlines in major cities as well as flight times whenever possible. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the flight reservation on behalf of the Cardholder. 44. Sightseeing and Destination Recommendations HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the name, address and telephone number of travel agencies at the Cardholder s travel destination. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist in the faxing of travel packages from these travel agencies to the Cardholder and coordinate the arrangements on behalf of the Cardholder. 45. Currency Rates and Conversions HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the Cardholder with indicative exchange and conversion rates based on information as reflected on the website Overseas Language/Translation Support HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the Cardholder with telephonic translation services and emergency support whenever a need arises. 47. Private Executive Jet Charter HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder by providing the name, address and telephone number of private executive jet charter companies in major cities. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the charter reservation on behalf of the Cardholder. Entertainment Services 48. Dining Referral and Reservation Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder by providing the name, address and telephone number of restaurants in major cities. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the reservation on behalf of the Cardholder. 49. Golf Course Referral and Reservation Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder, whenever possible, by providing the address and telephone number of golf courses within and outside of Singapore. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the reservation on behalf of the Cardholder. 50. Spa, Fitness Center and Sports Center Information and Referral Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder by providing the name, address and telephone number of spa and fitness centers in major cities. Whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall also procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the Cardholder with the opening/closing hours of the shops. Major Shopping Belts/Locations Information Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder by providing the name, address and telephone number of shopping locations in major cities. If possible and upon request, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall also procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the Cardholder with the opening/closing hours of the shops. 52. Worldwide Personal Shopper Subject to the furnishing of essential and detailed information by the Cardholder on the item and merchandise, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist to locate the requested item or merchandise on best effort basis. If possible and upon request, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist with the purchase and delivery of such item and merchandise to a location within any major city as advised by the Cardholder. This delivery and locating service for items and merchandise shall exclude all online purchases and perishable items including all non-standard insurable items. 53. Cultural Centers, Museums, Art Gallery and Exhibition Information and Referral Services HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to provide, upon request by the Cardholder, information on exhibition events, including the date, operating hours as well as the venue. Whenever necessary, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder in the reservation, purchase and delivery of the tickets. 54. Cultural and Historical Tours HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder in providing referral services to authorised tour agents specialising in cultural and historical tours. Whenever requested upon by the Cardholder, HSBC will also assist in the booking of designated tours with the selected authorised tour agent. Should the Cardholder require tailor-make tour packages, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall procure Third Party Service Providers to refer the Cardholder to the authorised tour agent for direct liaison. Business Services 55. Conference Information and Referral Services HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder by providing conference service referral. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the arrangements on behalf of the Cardholder. 56. Messenger Service Assistance HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder by providing assistance to relay message between the Cardholder and his/her family or business associates. 57. Translation Services HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the Cardholder with the name, address and telephone number of translating agencies in major cities. Whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler shall also procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the opening/closing hours of these agencies. If requested by the Cardholder and whenever possible, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to facilitate in making the arrangements on behalf of the Cardholder with an identified translating agency. 58. Legal Referral If requested by the Cardholder, HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to provide the Cardholder with the name, address, telephone numbers and, if available, office hours for referred lawyers and legal practitioners. Neither HSBC Visa Infinite Butler nor the Third Party Service Provider will give any legal advice to the Cardholder. 59. Courier Service Assistance Fees HSBC Visa Infinite Butler will procure Third Party Service Providers to assist the Cardholder to send documents or parcels by arranging courier services to his or her family or business associates. 60. The Cardholder is responsible for payment of all fees of the Third Party Service Providers. In the event that HSBC has paid the fees of the Third Party Service Providers, the Cardholder will on request immediately refund HSBC with the full amount of the fees that it has paid. 61. Where fees are to be incurred by the Cardholder with a Third Party Service Provider as a result of Services requested 10 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 10 20/04/ :05

11 by the Cardholder pursuant to these Terms and Conditions, HSBC will use all reasonable endeavours to notify the Cardholder of the amount of the fees before they are incurred. However, the Cardholder acknowledges that in some circumstances such prior notification may not be possible and, for the avoidance of doubt, the Cardholder also agrees to be responsible for the fees incurred in such cases. 62. In the event that HSBC makes any payment to a Third Party Service Provider in connection with the provision of underlying Services, HSBC shall be subrogated to the rights of the Cardholder to obtain payment from: (i) any third party found legally responsible for requesting for such underlying Services up to the amount of such payment made by HSBC; and (ii) any other insurance or assistance plan which provides compensation to the Cardholder with respect to the same underlying Services. Miscellaneous 63. The Services (including but not limited to the availability thereof and the terms and conditions relating thereto) are subject to change or withdrawal at any time without notice to the Cardholders. 64. The Cardholder shall ensure that any and all information provided by the Cardholder or any person acting on behalf of the Cardholder is complete, true and accurate. If the Cardholder or any person acting on behalf of the Cardholder makes a misrepresentation or is, in the reasonable opinion of HSBC, fraudulent, the Cardholder shall no longer be entitled to benefit from any of the Services. The Cardholder shall indemnify and hold HSBC harmless from and against all claims, demands, actions, causes of actions, damages, losses, costs, liabilities or expenses whatsoever incurred by HSBC as a result of claims arising from or connected with such fraud or misrepresentation. 65. HSBC shall not be responsible for any delay or failure to provide the Services caused by any event beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, fi re, earthquake, flood, lightening, riots, strikes, lockouts, government action, war, acts of terrorism and/or disruption of electrical or power supplies, disruption, breakdown or failure of equipment. 66. HSBC agrees to keep confidential any personal information obtained about the Cardholder by it pursuant to the provision of the Services. The Cardholder authorises HSBC to disclose to any Third Party Service Providers and any third parties appointed by HSBC to provide services on behalf of HSBC any such personal information as may be necessary for the provision of the Services. 67. The Cardholder consents to HSBC and any Third Party Service Provider contacting the Cardholder s insurers and collecting proceeds under the Cardholder s insurance policies or any other relevant sources for expenses incurred pursuant to the provision of the Services. 68. The Cardholder consents to HSBC and any Third Party Service Providers recording telephone calls with the Cardholders. The Cardholder acknowledges that the telephone recordings are the sole property of HSBC. 69. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and subject to the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the Cardholder submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR HSBC VISA INFINITE CARDHOLDERS This document provides a description of the group insurance Policy (issued under Master Policy No: P ) held by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Singapore Branch ( HSBC ) situated at 21 Collyer Quay #10-02 HSBC Building Singapore for the benefit of HSBC Visa Infinite Cardholders and their Family Members. The Policy is issued and underwritten by AXA Insurance Singapore Pte Ltd ( AXA ). In consideration of the payment of the premium by HSBC, AXA agrees to provide coverage under the Policy whilst the Policy is in force and in accordance with the terms of the Master Policy, an extract of which is reproduced herein. The benefit under this group insurance is provided free of charge to Cardholders who will have the right to make claims on their own behalf with AXA as Insured Persons of this Policy within the relevant terms, conditions, exclusions and claims procedures as stated herein. The Policy shall take effect from 1st May After that, the insurance may be renewed for a 12 months period mutually agreed by HSBC and AXA or can be discontinued altogether following a decision by HSBC or AXA. 12 PART A - POLICY DEFINITIONS For the purpose of this Insurance, the following definitions apply: 1. Accident or Accidental means a sudden, unforeseen and unexpected event during the Period of Insurance that independently of any other cause is the sole and direct cause of bodily Injury or property damage and excludes all medical conditions, illnesses or diseases. 2. Adult refers to any individual aged 18 or above. 3. Assistance Company refers to AXA Assistance Singapore, contactable at 24-hour hotline on a collect call basis at (65) Bank means The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore Branch 5. Cardholder refers to a holder of a HSBC Card 6. Carrier means aircraft licensed for regular transportation of fare-paying passengers and operating on scheduled routes and timetables. 7. Child(ren) refers to child(ren) who is between one (1) and twenty-five (25) years of age, not married, not employed and is residing in the same household and in the same country of residence as the Cardholder. 8. Chinese Physician means a person, including but not limited to herbalist, acupuncturist and bonesetter, who is legally qualified and practicing within the scope of his license pursuant to the laws of the country in which such practice is maintained. Chinese Physician shall not include the Insured Person or a business partner, Relative, agent, employer or employee of the Insured Person. 9. Chiropractor means a legally qualified practitioner in chiropractic medicine and practicing within the scope of his license pursuant to the laws of the country in which such practice is maintained. Chiropractor shall not include the Insured Person or a business partner, Relative, agent, employer or employee of the Insured Person. 10. Cover means the insurance coverage in accordance with the terms of this Policy. 11. Full Travel Expenses is the full fare of Public Conveyance fare that is fully paid through the Insured Person s HSBC Card to the operators of the Public Conveyance or its handling agent(s) (e.g. travel agency). For a Two-Way Trip, the Public Conveyance fare refers to the fare paid to travel out of Singapore and back to Singapore. For a One-Way Trip, the Public Conveyance fare refers to the fare paid to travel out of Singapore. 12. Dental Treatment means reasonable and medically necessary treatment carried out by a qualified and licensed dentist to restore sound and natural teeth, such treatment being made necessary directly by an Accident. 13. Family means Cardholder and/or Family Members travelling together on a same Trip 14. Family Member mean the Cardholder s legal spouse, parents and/or parents-in-law, siblings and legitimate Child(ren). 15. Home Country means the country which the Insured Person is granted rights of citizenship or permanent residence by the respective governmental authorities, excluding Singapore. 16. Hospital means an establishment duly constituted and licensed in the geographical area in which it is located as a medical or surgical hospital for the care and treatment of sick and injured persons as bed-paying patients, and that: a. provides facilities for diagnosis, treatment and minor or major Surgery; b. provides twenty-four (24) hours nursing services by registered graduate nurses; c. is supervised by a full-time staff of Physicians at all times; and d. is not primarily a clinic, a mental Hospital or institution, a place for custodial care or facility for alcoholics or drug addicts, a spa, or hydroclinic or a nursing or rest or convalescent home or a home for the aged, or such similar establishments. 17. Hospital Confinement or Hospitalisation means being confined in a Hospital as a registered inpatient under the care of a Physician because of medical necessity (and not merely for any form of nursing, convalescence, rehabilitation or extended care). One day of Hospital Confinement means a continuous 24-hour period or for which room and board has been charged. 18. HSBC Card means valid HSBC Infinite Visa Card issued by the Bank 19. Illness means a physical condition marked by a pathological deviation from the normal healthy state, as verified by a Physician, commencing and manifesting itself during the Period of Insurance and shall exclude any Preexisting Medical Condition. 12 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 12 20/04/ :05

Injury means an external and visible bodily Injury caused solely and directly by an Accident, as verified by a Physician, and does not include any illness or naturally occurring medical conditions or degenerative process. 21. Insured Person means : a. A Cardholder whose Full Travel Expenses has been fully charged to his HSBC Card. b. Family Member of the Cardholder whose Full Travel Expenses has been fully charged to the Cardholder s HSBC Card. 22. Loss applicable to Section 1 and 2 In connection with a limb, Loss means permanent physical severance of the hand at or above the wrist or of the leg at or above the ankle joint; In connection with a thumb or index finger, Loss means permanent physical severance of two (2) phalanges for the thumb and three (3) phalanges for the index finger; In connection with an eye, Loss means total and permanent loss of all sight in the eye; 23. Medical Expenses means expenses necessarily and reasonably incurred during a Trip for Injury or Illness that the Insured Person paid to a Physician, Hospital and/or ambulance service for medical, surgical, x-ray, Hospital or nursing treatment, including the cost of medical supplies and ambulance hire and for Dental Treatment caused by an Accident. All treatment including specialist treatment must be prescribed or referred by a Physician in order for expenses to be reimbursed under this Policy and will not exceed the usual level of charges for similar treatment, medical services or supplies in the location where the expenses were incurred had this insurance not existed. 24. Natural Disasters means extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to typhoons, hurricanes, cyclones or tornadoes and such forces of nature (such as tsunamis, fires, floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes or landslides) that have catastrophic consequences. 25. Overseas means the countries outside of Singapore. 26. Period of Insurance means the period during which the Cover under this Policy is effective, as specified in the Policy Schedule issued to the Bank. 27. Physician means a person legally qualified by a medical degree in western medicine and duly licensed by the relevant medical board to provide medical and surgical treatment and who, in rendering treatment, is practicing within the scope of his licensing and training in the geographical area of practice. The attending Physician cannot be an Insured Person or a business partner, Relative, agent, employer or employee of the Insured Person. Any reference to a Physician in this Policy shall mean, wherever appropriate, a general practitioner and/or a specialist. 28. Permanent Disability means the disability described in the Schedule of Compensation that according to medical evidence and certification by a Physician will last for the rest of the Insured Person s life. 29. Pre-existing Medical Condition means any Injury or Illness which the Insured Person has received medical treatment, diagnosis, consultation or prescribed drugs, or which symptoms or manifestations have existed whether treatment was actually received, prior to the Trip and which the Insured Person should reasonably be aware of. 30. Premium Per Cardholder is the premium rate agreed between the Bank and Us to be applied to the number of Cardholders for the purpose of calculating the Provisional Annual Deposit Premium and the actual premium payable. 31. Public Conveyance means any air, land or water conveyance duly licensed for regular transportation of farepaying passengers and operating on scheduled routes and timetables. 32. Relative means spouse, Child, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, parent, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandparent-inlaw, grandchild, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, aunt or uncle of the Insured Person. 33. Serious Injury or Serious Illness when applied to the Insured Person means to require treatment by a Physician and that results in being certified as unfit to continue with the scheduled Trip. When applied to any of the Insured Person s Family Member or Travel Companion, it means Injury or Illness that is certified as being life threatening by a Physician that results in the discontinuation or cancellation of the scheduled Trip. 34. Scheduled Flight means any air travel on a Carrier as a fare-paying passenger. 35. Stolen or Theft means dishonestly and illegally taken from the Insured Person against his will, whether by stealth, by force or threat of force or by coercion. 36. Strike, Riot or Civil Commotion means disturbance of public peace with the presence of violence or threats of violence created by a gathering of civilians (organized or unorganized) usually against a governing body or the policies thereof, and including any action of any constituted authority to suppress or attempt to suppress such gathering. 13 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 13 20/04/ :05

Total and Permanent Disablement means (a) total disability of a permanent nature that prevents the Insured Person from attending to his business or occupation (of any and every kind) or if he have no business or occupation from attending to his usual duties and, (b) lasting twelve (12) calendar months and at the expiry of that period being beyond hope of improvement. 38. Travel Companion means the person who travels or plans to travel with the Insured Person on the same travel itinerary but excluding any tour leader who is travelling together as part of a tour group and receiving remuneration in payment or in kind. 39. Trip means a journey undertaken by the Insured Person and commencing in Singapore when the Insured Person leaves the place of residence or office for the place of embarkation, but not more than three (3) hours prior to the scheduled departure time, and ceasing upon the following, whichever is the earliest: a. The expiry of the Period of Insurance stated in the Policy Schedule; b. The Insured Person s return to his Home Country; c. Three (3) hours upon the Insured Person s arrival in Singapore. d. On the 61 st day from the date of commencement of Trip when applied to Section 2 to 9 and 15 to 21; e. On the 31st day from the date of commencement of One-Way Trip when applied to Section 2 to 9 and 15 to We/Our/Us/Insurer means AXA Insurance Singapore Pte Ltd. 41. You, Your refers to the Bank PART B - INSURANCE COVER This Insurance is arranged by the Bank for the Cardholder or the Family Member of the Cardholder as herein defined. In consideration of the payment of the premium by the Bank, We agree to cover the Insured Person as set out in this Policy. The cover and Our liability to pay under the Policy are subject to the Terms set out herein and the Sum Insured specified below. 16 SECTION 1 ACCIDENTAL DEATH & TOTAL AND PERMANENT DISABLEMENT PUBLIC CONVEYANCE We cover the Insured Person for Injury as a result of an Accident during a Trip occurring: anywhere in the world Overseas and outside the Insured Person s Home Country; and during the Period of Insurance, only whilst the Insured Person is travelling on, boarding or alighting from a Public Conveyance; provided the fare of such conveyance has been fully charged to the Cardholder s HSBC Card. If the Injury results in the Insured Person s death or Permanent Disability, described in the Schedule of Compensation (shown after Section 2) within one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of the Accident, We will pay an amount calculated by applying the Benefit Percentage to the Sum Insured specified for this Section, subject to the Provisions (shown after Section 2). Aggregate for Section 1 Our maximum aggregate liability to pay the Cardholder and Family Member of the Cardholder arising out of the same Accident shall be limited to US$2,000, Our maximum aggregate liability to pay all Insured Persons arising out of one Public Conveyance and from one single Accident shall be limited to US$11,538,500 in respect of Infinite Visa Card/ Premier/MasterCard/Platinum Visa Cards. In the event that the claims from all Insured Persons arising out of one Public Conveyance and from the same Accident exceed US$11,538,5000 in the aggregate, We will pay each Insured Person a share of US$11,538,500 according to the proportion each claim bears to the aggregate claim from all Insured Persons, or, in the case of Cardholder and Family Member of the Cardholder, a share of US$11,538,500 according to the proportion the aggregate liability to such Cardholder and the Family Member bears to the aggregate claim from all Insured Persons; N.B. This Policy will only pay for any claim under either Section 1 or 2 for the same event but not for claims made under both Sections. SECTION 2 ACCIDENTAL DEATH & TOTAL AND PERMANENT DISABLEMENT LAND COVER If during a Trip, the Insured Person is involved in an Accident whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country, excluding whilst the Insured Person is travelling on, boarding or alighting from a Public Conveyance covered under Section 1, and as a consequence, sustained bodily Injury or death within one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of the Accident, We will pay the compensation according to the age of the Insured Person and up to the limit specified in this Section as shown in the table below: Maximum Limit Payable Insured Person up to age 70 Insured Person above 70 years old Insured Child 100% of Sum Insured specified 10% of Sum Insured specified 15% of Sum Insured specified Aggregate for Section 2 The maximum benefit payable under this Section shall not exceed S$500,000 in aggregate per Family per trip. The total liability payable under this Section occurring whilst a number of Insured Persons are together shall not exceed three million dollars ($3,000,000) per event and/or conveyance in respect of Infinite Visa Card/ Premier/MasterCard/ Platinum Visa Cards. In the event the maximum liability should exceed three million dollars (S$3,000,000) per event and/ or conveyance, the limit amount shall be apportioned among the Insured Persons, but the sum shall not be greater than the maximum Sum Insured of each Insured Person. Loss of sight in one (1) eye 50% 8. Loss of a thumb and index finger of the same hand 25% Provisions 1. No benefits will be payable: a. Under Schedule of Compensation item (1) unless such death occurs within one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of the Accident. b. Under Schedule of Compensation item (2) except on proof to Us that the disablement has continued for twelve (12) months from the date of Accident and in all probability will continue for the remainder of the Insured Person s life. 2. The maximum amount of all benefits payable for one or more injuries sustained by the Insured Person during the Period of Insurance shall not exceed the maximum Sum Insured specified in the Table of Benefits. 3. If the conveyance in which the Insured Person is travelling in sinks, is wrecked or disappears, We will presume that he has suffered loss of life resulting from Injury at the time of such sinking, wrecking or disappearance if the Insured Person s body has not been found within one (1) year of that date. SECTION 3 OVERSEAS MEDICAL EXPENSES If during a Trip, the Insured Person sustains Injury or Illness whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country, We will reimburse the Insured Person up to the limit specified in this Section for necessary and reasonable Medical Expenses (including Dental Treatment due to an Accident) incurred Overseas and outside his Home Country within 30 days of sustaining the Injury or Illness, as shown in the table below: Insured Person up to age 70 Insured Person above 70 years old Insured Child Maximum Limit Payable 100% of Sum Insured specified 10% of Sum Insured specified 50% of Sum Insured specified The medical expenses incurred for treatment by a Chinese Physician or a Chiropractor is subject to a maximum of $300 per Trip. If the Insured Person is entitled to a refund of all or part of such expenses from other sources, We will only be liable for the amount that exceeds the reimbursement recoverable from such other sources. For the purpose of this Section, the Medical Expenses Cover under a One-Way trip Policy ceases twenty four (24) hours upon the Insured Person s arrival and immigration clearance in the country of disembarkation of the intended destination. Exclusions In addition to the General Exclusions, We will not pay for any claim under this Section in respect of: 1. 18 2. Expenses relating to any medical appliances and equipment unless prescribed by a Physician treating the Injury or Illness. 3. Prostheses, hearing aids, dentures and any treatment for cosmetic purposes. 4. Treatment or aid already obtained in Singapore before the Trip. SECTION 4 POST MEDICAL EXPENSES (IN SINGAPORE) We will reimburse the Insured Person up to the limit specified in this Section for Medical Expenses (including Dental Treatment due to an Accident) that are necessarily incurred in Singapore for medical treatment for Injury or Illness sustained during a Trip Overseas and outside the Insured Person s Home Country, as shown in the table below: Maximum Limit Payable Insured Person up to age 70 Insured Person above 70 years old Insured Child 100% of Sum Insured specified 10% of Sum Insured specified 50% of Sum Insured specified The time limit for seeking medical treatment is as follows: a. If medical treatment had already been sought Overseas, the Insured Person has up to a maximum of twenty one (21) days from the date of return to Singapore to continue medical treatment in Singapore; or b. If prior medical treatment has not been sought whilst Overseas, the Insured Person has up to five (5) days from the date of return to Singapore to seek first medical treatment and follow-up medical treatment up to a maximum of twenty one (21) days from the date of that first treatment in Singapore. provided always that the date of return to Singapore is still within the Period of Insurance. The medical expenses incurred for treatment by a Chinese Physician or a Chiropractor is subject to a maximum of $300 per Trip. If the Insured Person is entitled to a refund of all or part of such expenses from other sources, We will only be liable for the amount that exceeds the reimbursement recoverable from such other sources. SECTION 5 OVERSEAS HOSPITAL ALLOWANCE If during a Trip, the Insured Person sustains Injury or Illness whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country, resulting in the Insured Person s Hospital Confinement whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country, We will pay the Sum Insured specified on the Table of Benefits for each full day (continuous period of 24 hours) of Hospital Confinement up to the Sum Insured specified under this Section. Payment will be made after the period of Hospital Confinement. SECTION 6 OVERSEAS HOSPITAL VISIT If during a Trip, the Insured Person sustains Injury or Illness whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country, resulting in the Insured Person s Hospital Confinement for more than five (5) consecutive days whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country and his medical condition forbids evacuation, and there is no accompanying Adult Family Member, We will pay for reasonable hotel accommodation and travel expenses (direct economy fare by air, rail or sea travel but excluding cost of drinks, meals and other room services or domestic travel fares e.g. taxi or MRT fare) up to the Sum Insured specified under this Section necessarily incurred for one (1) Relative or friend, who upon the written advice of a Physician, is required to travel and remain with the Insured Person until he is certified medically fit by a Physician to continue the Trip or return to Singapore. 18 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 18 20/04/ :05

19 SECTION 7 - CHILD CARE BENEFIT If during a Trip, the Insured Person sustains Injury or Illness whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country, resulting in the Insured Person s Hospital Confinement whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country and there is no other Adult to accompany the Child(ren) below the age of 18 home, We will pay for reasonable travel expenses (direct economy fare by air, rail or sea travel but excluding cost of drinks, meals and other room services or domestic travel fares e.g. taxi or MRT fare) and hotel accommodation, up to the Sum Insured specified in this Section, that are necessarily incurred for one (1) adult Relative or friend to accompany the Child(ren) back to Singapore. SECTION 8 - SPECIAL GRANT We will pay up to the Sum Insured specified in this Section if the Insured Person dies during a Trip whilst Overseas and outside his Home Country from an Illness sustained Overseas and outside His Home Country. SECTION 9 AXA ASSISTANCE Cover for this Section is only in respect of death or Injury sustained by the Insured Person as a result of an Accident occurring Overseas and outside the Insured Person s Home Country during a Trip, subject to the limits as follow: Insured Person up to age 70 Insured Person above 70 years old Insured Child Maximum Limit Payable 100% of Sum Insured specified 50% of Sum Insured specified 50% of Sum Insured specified If during a Trip, the Insured Person suffers Injury Overseas and outside his Home Country or are in need of medical, legal or administrative emergency assistance whilst Overseas (except for prior travel information that may be obtained locally), arising out of and in the course of this Trip, provided that such Trip is not undertaken against the advice of the Physician, and/or for the purpose of obtaining or seeking any medical or surgical treatment abroad, the following services under this Section are available directly from the Assistance Company upon specific verbal notification by the Insured Person or his personal representative to the following 24-hour Hotline on a collect call basis. Providing the following information: AXA Assistance Singapore: (65) a. The Insured Person s full name, travelling dates, NRIC/Employment Pass number and Policy or Certificate of Insurance number. b. The name of the place and telephone number where the Assistance Company can reach the Insured Person or his representative; and c. A brief description of the emergency and the nature of help required. A - EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND EVACUATION If during a Trip, the Insured Person suffers Injury Overseas and outside his Home Country such that the Assistance Company s medical team and the attending Physician recommended Hospitalisation, the Assistance Company will arrange for: a. the Insured Person s transfer to one of the nearest Hospital, and b. If necessary on medical grounds, the transfer with necessary medical supervision by any means (including, but not limited to, air ambulance, scheduled commercial flight, and road ambulance) to a Hospital more appropriately equipped for the particular Injury, all costs for emergency medical transfer/evacuation will be borne entirely by the Assistance Company up the limits stated in this Section. B - EMERGENCY MEDICAL REPATRIATION After local treatment and if, according to the medical opinion of both attending Physician and the Assistance Company alarm center doctor, the Insured Person s medical condition will not prevent him being repatriated with medical 19 W _HSBC_Visa Infinite_V10 20Apr15.indd 19 20/04/ :05

20 supervision as a regular passenger; the Assistance Company will organize and pay for his repatriation to Singapore by scheduled airline flight (on the appropriate means of transportation, including any supplementary cost of transportation to and from the airport, provided that the original return ticket is not valid for such repatriation, and provided that the Insured Person surrenders any unused portion of his ticket to the Assistance Company. Any decision on the repatriation of the Insured Person will be made jointly and exclusively by both the attending Physician and the Assistance Company alarm center doctor under constant medical supervision. All costs for emergency medical repatriation will be borne entirely by the Assistance Company, up the limits stated in this Section. C - LOCAL BURIAL / REPATRIATION OF MORTAL REMAINS BACK TO SINGAPORE If during a Trip, the Insured Person sustains Injury resulting in death Overseas and outside his Home Country, the Assistance Company will organize and pay the cost of transportation of the mortal remains of the deceased Insured Person (or his/her ashes) from the place of death to Singapore for burial. As an alternative, upon specific request of the personal representative of the deceased Insured Person, and wherever possible, the Assistance Company will organize and pay for the cost of local burial in the country in that the Insured Person was visiting at the time of his death. The Assistance Company s financial responsibility for such local burial will be limited to the equivalent of the cost of the repatriation, up to the limits stated in this Section. Should the deceased Insured Person s representative choose an alternative destination besides Singapore for burial, the Assistance Company will organize and pay for the cost of transportation of the mortal remains to this alternative site, up to the equivalent cost of transporting the remains to Singapore. D - COMPASSIONATE VISIT If during a Trip, the Insured Person sustains Injury resulting in death Overseas and outside his Home Country, and there is no accompanying Adult Family Member present, the Assistance Company will arrange and pay for hotel accommodation and reasonable travel expenses (direct economy fare by air, rail or sea travel but excluding cost of drinks, meals and other room services or domestic travel fares e.g. taxi or MRT fare), up to the Sum Insured specified in this Section, that are necessarily incurred for one (1) Relative or friend to travel to the country that the Insured Person was visiting at the time of death to assist in the necessary arrangements to bring the mortal remains back to Singapore. Exclusions In addition to the General Exclusions, We will not pay for any claim under this Section in respect of: 1. Emergency medical evacuation or repatriation or costs not approved and arranged by the appointed Assistance Company or its authorized representative, except that we reserve the right to waive this exclusion if the Insured Person or his Travel Companion(s) cannot for reasons beyond the Insured Person s control to notify the Assistance Company during an emergency situation. In any event, we reserve the right to reimburse only for those expenses incurred for services that the Assistance Company would have provided under the same circumstances. 2. Any event occurring or treatment received in Singapore. 3. Any expense if the Insured Person is not suffering from a serious medical condition or if the treatment can be reasonably delayed until his return to Singapore, or any treatment or expenses related to childbirth, pregnancy that endangers the life of the mother and/or unborn child in the event of childbirth, miscarriage or pregnancy after 6 months therefore of. 4. Any treatment performed or ordered by a person who is not a Physician/Chinese Physician. 5. The cost of burial in Singapore.
