1 STEVEN E. CLARK (Revised ) Office address: Department of Psychology Riverside, CA (951) Presley Center for Crime and Justice Studies University of California Riverside (951) Education: BS Illinois State University, 1981 PhD Indiana University, 1988 Dissertation Committee: Richard M. Shiffrin, Robert, M. Nosofsky, Janet Metcalfe, and Linda B. Smith. 1. Description of research My research is concerned with human memory and decision-making, eyewitness identification, and the role of eyewitnesses in the criminal justice system. The research is guided by mathematical models of memory, and by normative and psychological theories of procedural justice. Under that broad umbrella, my research addresses the following questions: How do witnesses and victims decide whether to cooperate with police and participate in the criminal justice process? What are the social and cognitive processes that underlie human memory and eyewitness decision-making? What are the policy implications for the criminal justice system? What is the relationship between social science, law, and the criminal justice system? 2. Employment history 01/05/15- present Director, UC Consortium on Social Science and Law 04/01/13-present Director, Presley Center for Crime and Justice Studies 10/01/13 present Adjunct Professor, Department of Psychology, Emory University 07/01/06 - present Professor of Psychology 07/18/94-06/30/06 Associate Professor of Psychology 07/1/88-07/18/94 Assistant Professor of Psychology 7/1/87-06/31/88 Acting Assistant Professor of Psychology Steven E.
