Due to dates on some of the submitted polices, campuses should review their policy on awarding military credit to ensure that it has recently been evaluated. 3. In light of HEA 1116, institutions need to mention if they use ACE Credit Recommendations. 4. With the new JST, references to AARTS and SMARTS need to be updated. 5. Documents that service members need to have submitted in order for the institution to evaluate their potential credit, need to be specified (i.e. JST, DD214, etc.) 6. Policies should specify if the credit will be distributed, undistributed, or elective. 7. Include the maximum number of credits possible. If there is no maximum, have a note as to how this may help and hinder the student s progress (i.e. IUPUI s memo). Page 8 of 8
