OFF-GRID The concept of off-grid refers to the generation of energy for own use, whether it is a residential, commercial or industrial. For this purpose, the PV system must be connected to the inner consumer electrical circuit at the point of its ownership closer to the General Protection Box.

OFF-GRID PV Types The generation of electricity through photovoltaic panels in off-grid system without net balance tends to cover the consumer energy demand. Surplus production is sent to the grid, and sold at market price and there is no regulated rate ( is at market price). The components are the same as in conventional grid sale. The generation of electricity through photovoltaic panels in a system with net balance off-grid covers TOTAL energy consumer demand. The surplus production is sent to the grid, and recovered in moments of low PV electricity production. It is performed by a comparison of energy produced and consumed, which allows to consumer to use the electrical system as "store" for the surpluses and retrieval it later. This modality is pending by regulation.
