To All BIS Digital, Inc. Associates: It is with deep sorrow that I have to announce the passing of Bob Wolfe. After fighting cancer for the last several months he had called me last Friday from the hospital to let me know that the doctors had advised him that there was nothing more they could do and he was being moved to hospice. After talking with his daughter, Elizabeth on Monday she advised me that he had been moved and we arranged for Jade to head north for a visit with Bob early next week. I was notified by the family that he passed away at 1am this morning. Bob Wolfe joined BIS in April of 2002 after a career that included a law school degree followed by a term as law school professor and then onto Westlaw as a Regional Sales Manager. His strong legal background enabled Bob to have great success in Michigan establishing BIS Digital as a leading provider of Digital Recording Systems to all levels of courts throughout the state. He was well respected by the customers and his BIS Digital coworkers. He set sales records (largest single sale) and was a consistent sales leader year after year. He loved his family (Daughter Elizabeth and Son William) and baseball. Always upbeat, patient and considerate to others. He will be missed by all of us and those he touched on our behalf. I will pass on his service arrangements as soon as they are announced. Best Regards, Steve Coldren CEO President In addition to the company announcement of Bob s passing, we would also like to share several heartfelt responses from present and past BIS employees. See below.
Bob Wolfe Roland Leonard We always said Bob Wolfe was a gift from God. Now he will be with God. He will be missed down here on earth. Rhonda Cole Elizabeth and William, My condolences on the passing of your Father. I had the pleasure of working with him at BIS for 5 years and kept in contact with him after words. He was a very sweet and one of the most genuine persons I have had the pleasure of knowing. I would call him and he would answer and in my southern twang as he called it I would say "Wolfeeeeeeeeeeeee" and he would just laugh. I can hear that laugh now. The world has lost a wonderful human being and God has gained an Angel. He will be truly missed by me. I will keep you both and him in our prayers.
Gordon Bennett We are very sorry to hear this news. For all of High Criteria, I just want to express our sorry at Bob s passing. Erica Anderson Dear family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. It was a great pleasure working with Bob for the last 8 years. Between our busy days he often spoke of his love for his family, and his pride beamed through his voice. I will always remember him. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Charles Adkins Thank you for letting me know. I am very sorry to hear about Bob s passing. He was a great man and wonderful friend. I had been thinking about him recently and was wondering how he was doing, sadly I do know now. Michael Morin These are the saddest days for me. I feel like I m broken. I feel selfish. The only reason I m sending this to everyone is because of the pictures above. I know most of you have never met Bob in person. Bob hired me, he was my boss, my mentor, my shrink, my good and dear friend, my confident, my buddy, my adviser, my pal, my go to guy, my good listener, my peace of mind, my venter, my hero, my get back up on that horse, my motivator, my teacher, my at a boy, my great job way to go guy. He was my brother only with a different mother. We had lots in common, more than most. Little differences like, he liked cats, I like dogs. He was on one end of smarts, I was on the other, and you may guess what end I was on We talked almost every day about everything and anything. I will really miss the calls and email from him and already do. The last email from him was 6/2/2014 Michael,
Just wanted to let you know my cell battery died during the con call this morning. Hopefully I will have a new phone tomorrow. I don t think you will be able to call me. Bob Wolfe My last phone call from him was 1 week ago tonight, Friday June 13 th around 8:45 p.m. giving me the bad news. I told him I would be up there the next day. He say no don t come they are moving me and you ll need my new address. He said there is time yet for me to come and see him. L I will always remember him and will think of him often. Who would have thought that this would have happened, say around last August or September. I will always miss Bob Wolfe. It is and was an honor and privilege knowing Bob and being known to him as a good friend. Bob loved and was very proud of both his children Elisabeth and William, he wanted to do everything he could for both of them. He spoke with me many times about their success in each of their young life s. I could relate with him as my two boys are around their same age. We often talked a lot about both of our families with each other. He always told me less was more when putting an email together, sorry I got off track with this one Bob. Thank you for everything you have shared with me over the last 8 or 9 years buddy. I Love you Big Guy, in the manly way, I know that you knew that. I hope I run into you on the next ride, you can take me under your wing again and show me around. Be at Peace, Goodbye my good friend, Jody Holland May God comfort Bob s family and the BIS family. He was a great man and salesperson who always emphasized PERSON in salesperson. Bob built trust in his customers. He will be missed.
