For any requirement Well-engineered container systems Schletter We focus on sustainability In our administration building as well as in our production halls, both waste separation and reduction of paper consumption go without saying. About 50% of the power needed in the production plant are generated using our solar roof plants and our solar carports - eco-friendly and carbon-neutral. The company building has a building automation with an intelligent heating concept, heat insulation and heat recovery. Our 500kW-wood chips heating system fuelled by pallet scrap wood and our state-of-the art production processes avoid harm to the environment. We avoid long routes of transport. What we cannot produce ourselves, we purchase on location as far as possible. There are very different kinds of waste. And local waste managers realized that early on. They do not just focus on the elimination of waste, but also on recycling. By now, about half the waste produced in Germany can be recycled. But without suitable and functional containers, this would not be economically feasible. There are very different kinds of containers. We at Schletter realized that early on. Thus, we have already been offering container systems designed especially for municipal waste management for several years. The different requirements of recycling are taken into account. This also includes containers that are suitable for collecting recyclable materials in different sub-containers in order to bring them back into the economic cycle as well as special containers for hospitals, for example. Quality check passed. Convenient handling and reliable quality play an important role. Waste containers are exposed to the weather, they are moved around quite often and thus have to be really stable. Here at Schletter, production is permanently supervised. The strip galvanizing of the steel protects the container optimally from environmental influences and corrosion. It is durable and cannot be deformed. The container has a big maximum filling capacity and an ergonomically reasonable throw-in height at the same time. Thus, the available parking space can be used in the most efficient way. The standard containers only have different widths. Thanks to this standard dimensioning, the disposal site looks clean and well-arranged. As all TidyLine containers have a textile noise insulation as a standard feature, they are ideal for noise-sensitive areas. This noise protection equipment has been tested according to the strict criteria of the RAL-UZ 21. The opening is easily accessible to people with impairments. In order to avoid any damaging when the container is emptied, the corners at the bottom of the container are equipped with positioning devices. This is especially helpful when there is not much time to empty the container. TidyLine Basic A real jack of all trades Glass containers We offer different designs of TidyLine Basic for all kinds of recyclable material and waste. As our containers have a robust metal body and all relevant technical standards and guidelines have been adhered to, our containers are suitable for long-term use, regardless of the intended use. We can supply TidyLine Basic for any application purpose you want. Glass containers The disposal of bottles is often extremely loud and disturbing. That is why our containers are built in such a way that the maximum noise level of 91 db(a) determined for noise-reduced glass-containers in Germany is not exceeded. Thus, our glass containers meet the requirements of the eco-label (RAL-UZ 21) "the blue angel". Thus, waste paper must be disposed of separately. The manufacturing of paper requires lots of wood, energy and water. That is the reason why we offer the TidyLine Basic container also with suitable openings for paper. Containers for electric scrap To make sure that old toasters, broken hair-dryers and defective MP3 players do not end up in the residual waste, electric devices must not be disposed of into the domestic waste any more in Germany. In order to be able to dispose of small electric devices, the containers must meet special requirements. For example an increased torsional rigidity and stability which is achieved by optimal processing and joining of the metal sheeting. Containers for old clothes/textiles Containers for old clothes/textiles Our old clothes containers for recycling textiles in public areas are equipped with a stable unloading door with an internal locking and a theft-proof feed opening. Access by unauthorized people, theft and danger of injury (proper use provided) are ruled out. The bottom flaps make the emptying of the containers easy. The container has a 2-hook fastening device, but manual emptying is also possible. 8

Choice is yours Individually adapted container systems On request, we deliver the containers with high-value powder-coating in all RAL-colours. The robust PU or PVDF coating safeguards maximum durability of the material. A graffiti-resistant coating is also possible. The special coating makes a permanent adhesion of the color spray to the surface of the container impossible which makes the cleaning of the container much easier and also reduces cleaning costs. In addition to the standard positioning devices, we offer a shock absorber made of rubber feet for putting the container on the ground as well as edge protectors made of solid rubber. In order to make sure that the recycling point remains clean, Schletter also offers an interior bottom tray. This bottom tray reliably impedes the outflow of liquids out of the containers. If the containers are placed in noise-sensitive areas, for example in front of hospitals or old people s homes, an additional noise protection is recommendable. With plastic flaps or three-layer composite sheet metal, noise emissions are reduced even more. 9

The special damping safeguards the lowest possible noise emissions and minimum odour nuisance. Optional: Optimization by means of GPS and GSM On request, we equip the container with an electronic module including a positioning system, a filling level display and a feed control. The container automatically informs the DP center that the maximum filling level will be reached soon. Thus, you optimize the emptying cycles and the route planning. In the control center, the emptying can be tracked exactly. As the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics confirmed in a recent study, savings up to 40 percent are possible. References References In view of the wordwide increase of the need for raw materials, the new German recycling management law from June 1, 2012 aims at turning waste management into resource management. Natural resources keep decreasing and as a result of that, prices keep increasing. Due to successful recycling, the German economy already now gains about 14 percent of the raw material required from recycled materials. Just by state-of-the-art recycling management, Germany could reach 20 percent of the Kyoto targets for the reduction of climate-damaging emissions. This shows how important correct waste separation and recycling is for cities and communities. We have the right containers for these purposes. Containers made by Schletter are used all over Germany. Cities like Bonn, Gießen, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich use our recycling containers with one or two chambers and two or three cubic meters to recycle the waste which is a valuable raw material. For the waste management center of Munich, we supplied a total of 600 old clothes containers that have been installed mainly at the recycling points. 18
