No Re-quotes with CFDs FXCM will never re-quote market prices. 24 Hour real-time customer assistance Renowned customer service for any problems you may have is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. INSTRUMENTS Forex The Forex market is the largest financial market in the world. Forex involves the buying and selling of currency pairs such as the EUR/USD (Euro/US Dollar) or JPY/USD (Yen/US Dollar). Currencies are sold in pairs because a currency is valued relative to another currency. For instance, a rate of 1.50 on the EUR/USD pair means that one Euro is worth $1.50. If the exchange rate rises to $1.60, you could sell Euros for a profit in dollars. Likewise, if the Exchange rate fell, your Euros would be worth fewer dollars and you would make a loss. Forex trades let you make trades like this in any time zone, with considerable leverage and with fewer trading restrictions than in other markets. This makes Forex a powerful financial instrument for any trading strategy. Available Currency Pairs Over 50 currency pairs are offered for trading. These include the seven most liquid and widely traded currency pairs on the market. These pairs tend to have the tightest spreads as well. They include Majors: EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CHF Commodity Pairs: AUD/USD, USD/CAD, NZD/USD You can also trade other currency pairs such as the USD/CNH (U.S Dollar/Chinese Yuan), USD/MXN (US Dollar/Mexican Peso) and USD/RUB (US Dollar/Mexican Peso) to take advantage of macroeconomic events in specific international markets. Click here to see all currency pairs Margin Requirements In Forex, exchange rates shift in very small increments called pips, which is 1% of the smallest physical unit of the currency. You can trade with leverage of up to 200:1 which allows you to control more money in the market than you have in your account to take advantage of even the smallest movement in currencies. On an account with leverage of 200:1, you can trade 1,000 dollars in the market by setting aside only $5 as a security deposit. This security deposit is your margin requirement. This is not a fee or a transaction cost, it is simply a portion of your account equity set aside and allocated as a margin deposit. Margin requirements for all instruments can be viewed in the Dealing Rates window of the Trading Station. FXCM Introducing Broker Pro Forma Web Content Guide November 2013 Page 3 of 11

Advantages of Forex 24 Hour Market Trading is conducted around the world in all time zones. You can trade major currencies 24 hours per day, Sunday through Friday. No Trading Restrictions In Forex, there are no limitations on your trading strategy. Traders can scalp the market and trade without shorting restrictions, if you think a currency will go up, buy it. If you think it will fall, sell it. Low trading costs Most forex accounts trade without a commission and there are no expensive exchange fees or data licenses. The cost of trading is the spread between the buy price and the sell price, which is always displayed on your trading screen. Deep liquidity Trading between large financial institutions, hedge funds, corporations, central banks and average investors give the forex market a daily turnover of over $4 trillion dollars. This makes it easy to enter and exit trades, regardless of size, and allows for tight spreads. Available leverage You can trade forex with considerable leverage to take advantage of even the smallest moves in the market. Leverage is a double-edged sword, of course, as it amplifies both your losses and gains. International exposure Forex is an easy way to gain exposure in international markets while avoiding such vagaries as foreign securities laws and financial statements in other languages. CFDs A CFD or Contract for Difference is a specialized and popular over the counter financial product that can be traded with alongside Forex. It is an agreement between a buyer and seller to pay the difference between the current value of an asset and its value at contract time. This lets you use CFDs to speculate on broad market positions across different financial markets. Typically, doing so requires several accounts for each market, denominated in different currencies and connected to different brokers. CFDs simplify this process by allowing you to take positions in several different financial markets from the same account. CFD Instruments CFDs are commission free and have no exchange or clearing fees and can be traded on all platforms including Trading Station, Ninja Trader and MetaTrader 4. The following CFD s are available. FXCM Introducing Broker Pro Forma Web Content Guide November 2013 Page 4 of 11

Advantages of CFDs (Name of IB) highly recommends CFDs as a useful trading instrument. Clients can benefit from Trading across multiple markets in one account CFDs take away the inconvenience of trading within different markets at the same time by linking your market positions to one account. Significant leverage CFDs let you control a large market position using a smaller amount of capital than usual in the underlying market. This kind of leverage can significantly increase both your gains and losses. No re-quotes Fast, efficient trade execution with no expensive re-quotes. Hedging capability Go long or short from the same account. Advanced charting Place trades and keep track of your positions from FXCM s advanced charting package. TRADE EXECUTION (IB name) supports No Dealing Desk (NDD) trade execution because of its speed, transparency. With the No Dealing Desk model, your broker acts as a price aggregator. The broker s execution system sorts through a large network of liquidity providers to find the most competitive spreads. After the broker adds a small mark-up, these spreads are streamed directly to clients who make their trades instantly and anonymously. With NDD, the broker is compensated by the mark-up added to the spread. This means the broker benefits from successful traders as revenue is driven by volume. Benefits of NDD execution Competitive, market driven prices Liquidity providers are rewarded with order flow by your broker for providing the best ask and bid prices. This incentive ensures prices are competitive and that they accurately reflect market conditions. Anonymous order execution Trading is fully transparent and free from market manipulation as price providers cannot see your stops, limits or entry orders. No trading conflict between broker and trader The No Dealing Desk model means your broker does not have to take a market position to place trades. Brokers who actively take market positions can trade against their clients and stand to profit on trader s losses. Similarly, brokers can incur losses when traders make gains. This does not happen with NDD. No re-quotes; no dealer intervention Under No Dealing Desk Execution, your broker does not re-quote prices or otherwise manipulate your trading conditions. No restrictions on the strategy you use No Dealing Desk Execution lets you experiment with different trading styles such as trading the news, scalping or using trading robots.
