OAME was funded in September 1987 by Samuel Brooks, current Chair of the Board. The Board of Director is represented by 7 members. OAME started with only 8 members, all of them small business owners and of different ethnic backgrounds, today, OAME has over 700 members.
OAME s Advisory Board has 29 members representing the Education, Public and Private entities. OAME works in partnership p with other small business service providers, chambers of commers and has several Memorandums of understanding with the objective to support MWESB.

OAME incubators operating plan: the formula that OAME uses to operate its incubator facilities is the 50-30-20 plan, with the purpose to have a successful incubator program.
