FI-WARE & Brazil: Campus Party Brazil FI-WARE @ Campus Party Brazil 2014 https://www.facebook.com/campuspartybrasil First prize: 75.000 FI-GUARDIAN - Marcos Marconi, Viviane Lessa, Leonan Carvalho and Miquéias Faria (Brazil) Adverse circumstances such as natural disasters are more and more common worldwide. With proper warning people in Smart Cities can be well informed of these risky events, providing a safer environment for them. The objective of the application is to help intelligent cities become more resistant, aiding in communication, orientation and warning of adverse circumstances such as natural disasters. The solution consolidates tracking system data, centralising information from different sources, and carrying out customisable and intelligent remote sensor analysis, communicating risk events to citizens before they occur.

IoT Interoperability & Standards + interoperability testing
Technical Interoperability Solutions Device Gateway - Integrating and managing the Internet of Things enable interoperability among heterogeneous devices using different communication protocols and standards, such as: ZigBee, KNX, Bluetooth, X10, RFID, USB, GSM/GPRS, UPnP, and WiFi. The UDG architecture is fully IPv6 compliant and can contribute to support the development of the future Internet of things and to turn building into really smart and interactive environments http://www.6inaction.net

To boldly go where no (Id)ioT has gone before How to create the SYNERGY for IoT in Brazil?, Fábio Gandour
Great Portuguese Discoveries The Cantino planisphere, made by an anonymous cartographer in 1502, shows the world as it was known after the great discoveries of the end of the fifteenth century
Americans going to the Moon "There were remarkable discoveries in civil, electrical, aeronautical and engineering science, as well as rocketry and the development of core technologies that really pushed technology into the industry it is today And those technologies are just a drop in the bucket to importance of the development of the integrated circuit, and the emergence of Silicon Valley, which were very closely linked to the Apollo program. The development of that integrated circuit, the forbearer to the microchip, basically is a miniaturized electronic circuit that did away with the manual assembly of separate transistors and capacitors. Revolutionizing electronics, integrated circuits are used in nearly all electronic equipment today. "It was perhaps one of the greatest engineering and scientific feats of all time. It was huge. The engineering required to leave Earth and move to another heavenly body required the development of new technologies that before hadn't even been thought of. It has yet to be rivaled.
