The APCC Scheme Insurance Facility provides Professional Indemnity Insurance with the following coverage: Any claim against you first made during the period of insurance as a result of your own negligent acts, errors or omissions. Third party claims arising out of dishonest or fraudulent acts or omissions of employees. Libel or slander committed in good faith. Unintentional breach of confidentiality. Your liability under Section 13 of the Data Protection Act 1998 as a result of a breach of the act. Your defence costs and expenses. Cover is available to the limit of indemnity purchased per claim with defence costs in addition. Cover is also available up to a limit of 100,000 for the following: The costs associated with replacing documents which have been lost damaged or destroyed. Your defence costs and expenses as a result of a prosecution under sections 21(1), 21(2), 22(6) or 47(1) of the Data Protection Act 1998. Cover is provided for claims made against you arising out of those of your activities which are both declared in the proposal form and not specifically excluded within the policy document.
