Mission / Purpose Goals The mission of the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing at Galveston is to provide scholarly teaching, conduct innovative scientific investigations, provide state-of-the-art, culturally relevant patient care, and contribute to the health of the community through professional and public service. The concepts of health promotion, human response to illness, and healing practices provide a framework for all School of Nursing activities including teaching, research, patient care and service commitments.
