Call for Applications Master Degree Programme on AGRI-FOOD QUALITY (GOOD FOOD) Academic year 2014/2015 The University of Camerino, HAVING REGARD TO the Statute of the University of Camerino; HAVING REGARD TO the Unicam regulation for the Institution of Masters approved by Rector Decree N 9 approved on 12 November 2013; HAVING REGARD TO the resolution of the School of Biosciences and Veterinary Medicine N. 5 of 17/02/2014; HAVING REGARD TO The Resolution of Unicam Master Commission issued on 15 May 2014; HAVING REGARD TO The Resolutions of Unicam Senato Accademico n. 10 issued the 29 may 2014 and N 11 issued the 18 June 2014; HAVING REGARD TO\ The Decrees N. 149 of 30 May 2014 and N.160 of 18 June 2014 regarding the institution of UNICAM Masters for academic year 2014/2015; DECREES the opening of a call for Applications for the Master Degree Programme ( 2 Level Master Degree) on AGRI- FOOD QUALITY (GOOD FOOD) PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES The objective of the 2 Level Master Degree Programme is to provide relevant training in Agri - food quality taking into account the entire supply chain of agricultural-livestock production. The increase of human population, the progressive reduction of dedicated and available areas for agricultural productions, climate changes and the globalization of agricultural models are all elements that influences agricultural livestock productions and quality. Considering this scenario, the Master Degree Programme aims at training skilled professionals, coming from developing countries end emerging economies, in particular from African Countries. PROFESSIONAL PROFILE Professional involved in the management of the entire quality chain of agri food products: agri cultural and animals productions and protection, food industries, agri-business and marketing. The programme includes 60 Educational University Credits, 37 corresponding to e-learning distance courses, 15 to an Internship and 8 to a Final exam. 1

The e-learning teaching method used for the subjects courses will allow candidates to remain in their countries during that period of activities INTERNSHIP (15 Educational University Credits) Time schedule: 7/09/2015 17/10/2015 Internship is a training period/ practical field work to be carried out in companies operating in the Specializing Master subjects, in Italy. The Companies will be selected in cooperation with Slow Food Marche (regional section of the international association) and Comunità Montana dei Monti Azzurri. During the internship period the candidates will be accommodate in a Guest House in Monte San Martino (FM). Thanks to the cooperation with the Council of Monte San Martino (FM) accommodation price for master candidates will be on a special base. FINAL EXAM (8 Educational University Credits) Time schedule: 19/12/2015 25/03/2016 The final exam will consist in the writing of two piece of work regarding: 1- The analisis of problems related to the entire quality chain of agri- food production taking into account canditate s country of origin; 2- A plan of management of the entire quality chain of agri food production taking into account canditate s country of origin; The two piece of written work has to be send by e-mail to the Director of The Master Programme, Professor Carlo Renieri (carlo.renieri@unicam.it), and to the Secretary Office of the Master (francesco.ranciaro@unicam.it). The Deadline for submitting the two piece of written works is 25/03/2016 Candidate s pieces of work will be evaluated by the Scientific Commission in the period between : 26/03/2016 and 08/04/2016. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS The programme is open to African Candidates/Professionals who are in possession of degrees in agricultural, biology and science sectors equivalent to Italian degrees (Lauree). The Master Scientific Commitee will evaluate the degree equivalence According to Italian Law 270/04 (art. 5.2) Who during the academic year of reference is enrolled in a graduate or post graduate programme cannot be enrolled in the Master programme. DEGREE/MASTER PROGRAMME FIELDS 1. Agronomy 2. Biology 3. Science SELECTION PROCEDURE(IF REQUIRED) A selection procedure will be done if the applications for admission will be more than the numbers of available places (Maximum number 30).The selection procedure will be based on: titles and qualifications presented by the applicants; equivalence of degree courses established by the Master Scientific Commitee; scientific and academic curriculum presented by the applicants. MASTER DEGREE In order to obtain the Master Degree candidates have to respect the rule of compulsory attendance (75% ) and have payed the tuition fee. After the approval of the final exam the University of camerino will issue the Diploma di Master Universitario / Master University Degree.
