To be eligible for admission to Regis College, a student must be graduating from an accredited secondary school with a college preparatory background. High School Course Reuirements for Regis College English Math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II) Social Studies Science (with Lab) Modern Language Humanities * Reuirements for students interested in nursing. 4 years* 3 years/4 years* 3 years 2 years/4 years* 2 years 1 year HOME-SCHOOLED STUDENTS INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TRANSFER STUDENTS In order to facilitate the evaluation of a home-schooled applicant s candidacy, the student must submit the following items, in addition, to the admission reuirements listed above. Homeschooled students must submit all syllabi, reading lists, and grading records. If the student is pursuing a specific independent study course, the student should submit all information on the reuirements for this course. In addition, the student is reuired to submit the SAT Reasoning or ACT scores as well as three SAT II test scores. We will review the application carefully, and if more information is reuired, the student may be sent a reuest to come to campus for further testing. To be eligible to attend Regis College, a student must be graduating from an accredited secondary school and have a college preparatory background. International students who do not speak English as their first language are expected to show their proficiency in English (a minimum of 79 (internet-based)/213 (computer-based)/550 (paper-based) is accepted on the TOEFL). Please note, international transcripts must be translated into English. Please see the Application Checklist on page 1 for assistance with submitting a complete application. Transfer students for the fall or spring semester must be in good academic standing at an accredited institution, have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.0 on the Regis College scale, and not be on academic or disciplinary probation. All college-level and advanced placement courses will be considered for transfer credit. A maximum of 20 courses taken at any accredited college or university may be accepted for transfer credit. Course credit evaluations are typically sent with the letter of acceptance, informing students of their anticipated entering class status. Nursing students should inuire about specific reuirements. Applying TO REGIS COLLEGE EARLY ACTION FIRST-YEAR REGULAR DECISION IMPORTANT DEADLINES ADVANCED PLACEMENT INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE VISITING REGIS COLLEGE Undergraduate students are considered for admission in September and January. All undergraduate candidates for admission will be evaluated through the rolling admission process and reviewed on an individual basis. Early Action is a non-binding, early admission program for high school seniors who wish to receive early notification. A completed Early Action application must be postmarked by December 1. Students who apply for Early Action acceptance will receive notification of admission as early as January. Students admitted under the Early Action plan will have until the Candidate s Reply Date of May 1 to submit their non-refundable enrollment deposit. Students who are deferred to the regular pool will be reconsidered after submission of their first semester grades and will be notified within three weeks of their completed application. First-Year Regular Decision applications for incoming students enrolling for fall classes must be postmarked by February 15 for the College s priority deadline. If completed applications have been received early enough, notifications of decisions may be mailed as early as January. A Regular Decision application carries no binding agreement to enroll at Regis College. November 15 First-Year and Transfer applicants deadline for spring entrance. December 1 Early Action deadline for First-Year applicants for fall entrance. December 15 Apply by December 15 for Merit Scholarship Consideration for the spring semester. January 1 Enrollment deposit deadline for spring semester (or by alternate date specified by the Director of Admission). February 15 Regular Decision deadline for First-Year applicants for fall entrance. Submit the Regis College Application for Financial Aid and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (FAFSA code #002206) Apply by February 15 for Merit Scholarship Consideration for the fall semester. Deadline to submit Alumni Sponsor Award nominations. April 1 Transfer applicant priority deadline for fall entrance. Applications will be accepted through June 1. May 1 Enrollment deposit deadline for fall semester (or by alternate date specified by the Director of Admission). Students may be granted college credit for each advanced placement test score of three, four, or five. These courses will count toward those reuired for the degree. The courses may or may not count toward the reuirement of the major, depending upon a particular program s policy. In some instances, a score of four or five is reuired by a program for credit. Please see the Application Checklist on page 1 for assistance with submitting a complete application. Regis College recognizes the rigors of the International Baccalaureate program. Transcripts of students in such programs are evaluated on an individual basis by the Office of Academic Affairs to determine the number of college credits to be awarded. The credits for this evaluation include the student s academic performance during the program and outcome as demonstrated by final grades. The Admission Committee considers, but does not reuire a personal interview as a very important part of the admission process.
