Notice (Header) Section: CAMPUSCONNECTION HELPSHEET View Academic Requirements Report (Degree Audit) Report Elements This section of the Academic Advisement Report (Degree Audit) is a statement recommending that students review their academic advisement report with their advisors prior to completing course registration each semester. It also states that students need to make sure that all requirements for graduation are fulfilled. Minimum GPA Requirements Section: At BSC each student must earn a minimum 2.00 Cumulative GPA including a 2.00 Institutional GPA. Cumulative GPA Details: For Cumulative GPA each student must earn a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average which in both BSC courses and Transfer courses from other college institutions. (Note: Academic Skills Courses ASC are not included in GPA). Institutional GPA Details: For Institutional GPA each student must earn a minimum 2.00 institutional grade point average which constitutes only BSC courses. (Note: Academic Skills Courses ASC are not included in GPA).
Minimum Credit Requirements Section: At BSC each student must earn a minimum of 60 total credits, including at least 15 credits from BSC. Total Credit Details: For Total Credits each student must earn a minimum of 60 total semester credit hours which include both BSC Courses and Transfer courses from other college institutions. (Note: Academic Skills Courses ASC do not apply toward total credits required). For an AAS degree each student must complete all prescribed (core) courses from a BSC technical program. Institutional Credit Details: For Institutional Credits each student must earn a minimum of 15 total semester credit hours which consist of BSC courses only.. (Note: Academic Skills Courses ASC do not apply toward institutional credits required). General Education Requirements Section: At BSC each student must complete general education requirements for the AA (Associate in Arts), AS (Associated in Science), AAS (Associate in Applied Science), and BAS (Bachelor in Applied Science) degree programs. Communications: For the Communications general education requirements it depends on the degree requirements. The Communications requirement breaks down as follows: For an AA and AS Degree...each student must complete a minimum of 9 semester credit hours in the following communications areas. Incomplete & In-Progress Courses Section: This section of the Academic Advisement Report (Degree Audit) is showing courses that are in an IN-PROGRESS status. These courses that are IN-PROGRESS will not be counted towards degree requirements until they have been assigned a final letter grade. This section of the report also acts as a safeguard for auditing purposes.
