Comprising of the Portégé Z30, Tecra Z40 and Tecra Z50, all models feature the same clean design, all working-day battery life, advanced security features and common docking solution throughout making it easy to buy right across the range. Meet the Z-series family All three laptops in the Z-series family are fully-featured, powered by 4th generation Intel CoreTM processors and offer an option for every kind of professional. The 33.8cm (13.3 ) Portégé Z30, with optional touchscreen, features a high speed SSD with up to 512GB capacity within its ultra-thin 17.9mm 1 profile and weighs from just 1.2kg ideal for senior executives looking for a premium, high-powered and ultra-mobile computing solution that performs at speed regardless of their location.
For consultants, salespeople and business executives who spend a lot of time out of the office, the 35.6cm (14.1") Tecra Z40 provides a larger screen to enhance productivity without compromising on portability. Weighing from 1.47kg and less than 21mm in size, it s an impressive profile for a business platform with convenient docking. The 39.6cm (15.6") Tecra Z50 is one of the lightest laptops for its size on the market. From only 1.79kg, with a numeric keyboard and spacious screen, it was made for design offices or small businesses needing to work on spreadsheets or layouts giving them the performance they need to do more at their desks and the flexibility they need to move around the office. Both the Tecra Z40 and Tecra Z50 also offer the option of the latest high-speed SSDs, and either a spacious HDD or hybrid drive with more room for key business applications allowing users to work faster and be more productive. Designed to be dependable All Z-series laptops are robust enough to take on the pressures of a busy professional life thanks to the inclusion of Toshiba s EasyGuard suite. The light magnesium chassis is made using a honeycomb structure to strengthen the design and improve durability. Each model has also passed several rigorous tests to meet Toshiba s quality standards including the HALT (Highly Accelerated Lifestyle Test) by independent German test institute, TÜV Rheinland. Each laptop has been drop tested up to 76cm and each keyboard for spill-resistance up to 30 ml 2 to protect against accidental knocks and spillages. All models offer a combination of tried-and-tested security features, to protect business users from data theft or intrusion including the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which safeguards critical data kept on local storage. Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) enables an IT department to monitor, maintain, repair, update and upgrade the laptop remotely. A fingerprint reader is also standard across all models to make logging in secure and personal to every user plus an optional smartcard interface is available. Fully connected to keep business moving The new Z-series laptops offers a wide range of full-size ports, so there s no need for any special adapters or cables. It s easy to transfer and share information, with an HDMI port, three USB 3.0 ports, an SD card slot for downloading images and other data. Devices can also communicate via Gigabit LAN, wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.0. The option of mobile broadband 3 is also available for users who require further connectivity on the move. With Intel WiDi, professionals can also share content in meetings on a larger display.
