If it is at your independent or just right level, you can read a page in about 1-2 minutes. You understand the story and characters and can think deeply about what is happening. You can make inferences and have opinions that you can explain. FILL OUT THE LOG: Read your book daily at school and home. On the back of this sheet, fill out the reading log. Keep track EVERY time you read of the pages and the approximate time. You may NOT skip recording. ANSWER QUESTIONS IN THE RESPONSE PACKET: You will make comments in this response packet as you read the book. When you come to a spot where you have some thoughts, you can either put a quick reminder on a sticky note on the page or go directly to the packet. You may answer the questions in any order.
