How It Works Sagicor Capital Life s International Universal Life Policy provides the opportunity for high cash earning potential. The premiums that you pay create a Fund Value. This Fund Value is used to pay the ongoing charges for administration and cost of insurance. This Fund Value is credited with a competitive interest rate declared by Sagicor Capital Life. This interest is guaranteed to never be less than 3% annually and is usually higher. As well, policyowners may be eligible for a special interest bonus to be credited during year 6 to year 20. The combination results in substantial future cash values that can be used for anything you see fit. In addition, your policy provides protection in case of death. On the death of the life insured, Sagicor Capital Life will pay the named beneficiaries the Sum Insured of the policy. Depending upon the option chosen, Sagicor Capital Life may also pay out the Fund Value in addition to the face amount. Fund Value The Fund Value on each monthly anniversary is equal to the Fund Value on the preceding monthly anniversary day, plus: any premiums received since the preceding monthly anniversary and; interest credited, less the monthly deductions for the prior policy month, percent of premium administration expense charge, and any partial withdrawals. A Partial Fund Withdrawal may be made at any time and requires a $100 administrative fee. The minimum partial withdrawal amount must be $5,000 and the maximum amount is the Cash Value of the Policy, less the administrative fee of $100. If Death Benefit Option 1 is in effect, the Sum Insured will be reduced by the amount withdrawn. Sagicor Capital Life may limit the number of partial withdrawals each year. Payment of the partial withdrawal may be deferred for not more than three months from the date of receipt by Sagicor Capital Life.
