VAISHYA DIRECTOR FORWARD Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Okhla, New Delhi is actively engaged in promotion of Micro & Small Enterprises through skill development programme of two weeks duration where in the exposure is provided to the participants regarding various aspects of industry & business like steps to setup small venture, project preparation, fundamental of fixed & working capital management, market research & survey, breakeven point, profitability & evaluation of product cost and agencies / institutions including commercial bank concerning to industrial development. This Institute organized 22 nos.of Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs) for different target group in its jurisdiction during the year 2013-14 assigned by the Headquarter office and trained 458 nos participants. These EDPs were organised by different officers of this institute at different places which have been compiled in the form of compendium to get the information related with EDPs and assess the overall performance of the programme organized by the institute. Brief Report on Entrepreneurship Development Programme organized at Institute of Communication Technology, First Floor, GRM Complex, Nangloi, New Delhi from 1 st to 12 th July, 2013 Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Okhla, New Delhi organized Entrepreneurship Development Programme from 01 st to 12 th July, 2013 at Institute of Communication Technology, First Floor, GRM Complex, Bhutoon Wali Gali, Nangloi, Delhi-110041.The main objective of this programme was to promote entrepreneurship by sensitizing the prospective entrepreneurs about the various schemes of Government of India to promote MSEs and education them the various activities/procedures involved in setting up an enterprise. During the two week course different topics like Introduction of MS Word, MS Excel, MSMED Act, Step by step procedures in setting up an enterprise, Market survey/product selection, Marketing strategies, Project Profile preparation, Legal requirement & Taxation, schemes of various Government agencies to promote MSEs, etc. were covered by faculties/experts. Valedictory function of the programme was held on 12 th July, 2013 at ICT, Nangloi, New Delhi. Sh. Kamal Singh, Dy. Director graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He presented the certificated to the successful participants and motivated the participants to set up their own enterprise. Initially Sh. Ravi Ranjan, Investigator (Mech.) welcomed the dignitaries and participants. A total of 20 candidates enrolled for this programme and 17 of them successfully completed the course. The programme started with the introduction of dignitaries on the dais with briefing about the role and activities of MSME-DI, New Delhi in establishing a MSEs, the programme was conducted by Sh. Harinder, Investigator (Mech.), MSME-DI, Okhla New Delhi. The Programme was inaugurated by Sh. R.P. Vaishya, the Director of MSME-DI, New Delhi on 13.08.13. In his presidential address, he emphasized upon Self-Employment. He explained in details about the role and need of self-employment in the present economic scenario. He also gave few examples of successful entrepreneurs who started their career as small entrepreneur and became big name of India. During the Programme Mr. Dinesh, Mrs. Sanchita and other guest faculties Mr. Amit Tuteja from (NSIC) & Mrs. Saroj Sachdeva from Canara Bank gave excellent practical and theoretical lecture to the students and also motivated the participants for self-employment. Brief Report on Entrepreneurship Development Programme organized at Sultanpuri, New Delhi from 26 th August to 06 th September, 2013 Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Okhla, New Delhi organized Entrepreneurship Development Programme from 26 th August to 06 th September, 2013 at Sultanpuri, New Delhi, especially for SC candidates. The main objective of this programme was to promote entrepreneurship by sensitizing the existing/ prospective entrepreneurs about various schemes of Government of India. During the two-week programme, different topics like Entrepreneurial Motivation, Step by Step to set up Micro & Small Unit, Government Schemes for the promotion & development of MSEs, Costing & Pricing Strategy, Basics of Microsoft Word/Excel/ Powerpoint, Step by Step to set up Micro & Small & schemes of various Government agencies to promote export, were covered by faculties/experts. Valedictory function of the programme was held on 06 th September, 2013 at Sultanpuri, New Delhi. Shri Sandeep Agarwal, Asstt. Director presided the programme on behalf of the Director of this institute. He presented the certificates & stipend to the successful participants and motivated the participants to set up their own enterprise. Initially Mr. Appu, welcomed the dignitaries and participants and congratulated the participants for successfully completing the training programme. Trg/14(01)/13-14/SD/550-588 Dated 07.06.2013 (IMT-EDP(GEN) 3/4). Inaugural Function of the programme was held on 12-09-2013. Smt. Shivani, A.D. (E.I.) and Coordinator of the programme welcomed all the participants and dignitaries. She also briefed about the objective of the programme. Sh. V. K. Gupta. Dy. Director (Retd.) described the various characteristics of an entrepreneur and suggested the participants to become creative, innovative, punctual and quality oriented. In the inaugural speech, Shri V. M. Jha, Dy. Director (Met./EI) told in brief, the need of self-employment & role of MSME-DI in respect of promotion and development of MSME sector. During the programme, the participants were given knowledge on Role of MSMDI in Promotion & Development of MSMEs, Setting up an Enterprise, Qualities of an Entrepreneur & Identification of Project, Marketing Strategies, Project Report Preparation, How to conduct Market Survey & Marketing Techniques, Entrepreneur Motivation, Book-Keeping & Costing, Banking Schemes/Govt. Schemes, NSIC Schemes, Use & Selection of Machineries and Quality Control, Production Management, Business Communication Skills, Sources of Funds & Financial Management, Taxation & Industrial Laws, NMCP, Interface with Successful Entrepreneurs etc. The participants were also taken up for study visit in the various Workshops located in MSME-DI, Okhla, New Delhi. Valedictory Function of the programme was held on 25-09-2013. Sh. Brijendra AD (Admn./Chem.) welcomed all the participants and dignitaries. The participants expressed their views about the programme and highlighted their experience. Shri Suresh Yadav, Dy. Director (G&C) congratulated all the participants for completing the programme successfully. Sh. Ajay Aggarwal, Financial Advisor, DSIIDC, New Delhi and Chief Guest of the function also motivated the participants to become successful entrepreneurs and gave valuable suggestions and tips to become successful person. Further, he told the participants that positive attitude and time management is the key to success. He also stated the Role of DSIIDC in industrial promotion in Delhi. Shri R.P. Kamal Singh Dy. Director of this institute. Sh. Sunil Arora Investigator (Mech.), welcomed all the participants and explained about the objective of the programme. In his inaugural address Sh. The main objective of the programme was to motivate & guide the participants for self-employment by imparting them knowledge about how to set-up and manage a Small Scale Enterprise / unit. Brief Report on Entrepreneurship Development Programme organized at Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Sector-8, Faridabad from 24 th October to 13 th November, 2013 Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Okhla, New Delhi organized 2 weeks Entrepreneurship Development Programme for SC Candidates from 24 th October to 13 th November, 2013 at Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Sector-8, Faridabad-121006. The main objective of this programme was to promote entrepreneurship by sensitizing the prospective entrepreneurs about the various schemes of Government of India to promote MSEs and education them the various activities/procedures involved in setting up an enterprise. The Inauguration function of the programme was presided over by Sh. Major Singh, Dy. Director (Electx.) MSME-DI, New Delhi-110020 on 24.10.2013. During the two week course different topics like MSMED Act, Step by step procedures in setting up an enterprise, Market survey/product selection, Marketing strategies, Project Profile preparation, Legal requirement & Taxation, schemes of various Government agencies to promote MSEs, etc. were covered by faculties/experts. Valedictory function of the programme was organized on 20 th November, 2013 at the Conference Hall of Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Sector-8, Faridabad. Sh. Padam Singh, TPO of the polytechnic welcomed and congratulated the participants for successfully completing the training programme. Sh. S. K. Kapoor, Asstt. Director (Elect.) explained briefly about the programme conducted. In the keynote address Sh. A. S. Rathi, Principal of the polytechnic advised the participants to start their units from Small Scale level. He further advised the participants to follow the process told by various speakers for successfully running their enterprises. He presented the certificated to the successful participants. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Sh. B. P. Singh, Asstt. Director (Elect.). A total of 23 candidates enrolled for this programme and all of them successfully completed the course.
