SLBC - Maharashtra Agenda No. 20 Presentation by Central Registry of Securitisation Asset Reconstruction & Security Interest of India (CERSAI) CERSAI is a common initiative of Government of India and 11 large banks of the country. It is a Government company and the purpose of its establishment is to prevent frauds with banks by way of multiple financing against the same property. CERSAI has also been given the responsibility of creating a central KYC registry for the entire financial sector which will help greatly as regards customer convenience. SLBC requests CERSAI officials to give their presentation on the above points. 222
SLBC - Maharashtra Agenda No. 21 Lead Bank Scheme Conduct of State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) meetings The SLBC plays a very important role in coordinating and supervising developmental efforts of Government agencies and banks in the State. As per the extant instructions, the meetings of these committees are required to be held at quarterly intervals. In order to improve the effectiveness and streamlining the functioning of SLBC, it has been advised by Reserve Bank of India vide their circular No. RPCD.CO.LBS.BC.No. 44/02.19.10 / 2010-11 dated 29/12/2010 that Convenor bank has to prepare a yearly calendar of programme in the beginning of the year itself, for conducting the meetings. Accordingly SLBC has prepared calendar of programme for SLBC for the year 2013, which is given below for information.
