Respiratory Sensitization and Irritation: This product contains enzymes which are classified as respiratory irritants. In their dry form enzymes (which are large protein molecules) can cause respiratory sensitization in susceptible individuals. There is no threshold for the induction of sensitization but allergic symptoms can be excluded when exposure does not exceed a range of 1 ng/m 3 (Hera, 2007). Prolonged inhalation exposure to enzymes may result in respiratory irritation. This product is a liquid; therefore inhalation exposure is unlikely, unless the vapour is inhaled. Inaddtion, the percentage of enzymes present is less than 1 %. Acute Toxicity: None of the ingredients in this product are known to cause toxicity via the dermal, oral or inhalation route to a degree that requires classification. However, oral ingestion may result in some discomfort. Mutagenicity: none of the ingredients in this product are classified as mutagenic Carcinogenicity: Tetranatrium 2-(1,2-dicarboxilatoethylimino)succinat is a class 2 carcinogen. This means that it is a suspected human carcinogen based on inconclusive evidence from animal or human studies.
