Junior/Senior Year AAS 101 *Prior Learning Portfolio Course (8-week course) ENG 40 (Advanced Expository Writing) ENG 50 (Technical Writing) Total 15 Total 12 * Prior Learning Portfolio: a collection of essays and artifacts demonstrating prior learning that is submitted for college credit assessment. AAS 101 leads students through the building of their first prior learning portfolio. After taking and passing AAS 101, students may continue to build portfolios as self-directed products and submit them for college credit. Students may earn up 24 hours of credit for prior learning. Students holding an AAS are not required to complete a portfolio; however, they may opt to do so to earn additional upper division hours needed for degree completion. A total of 45 upper division hours are required for the BAAS degree. 5
