The price of MDF and 3D Laminate (RTF) doors is influenced by the complexity of the CNC routing that is required. In order to price a door, you will need to know how many Passes (CNC Router Cycles) are made by the router. The number of Passes is listed on the profile drawings. Please note that some doors indicated as 6 Pass may actually have more than 6 router passes, but for pricing purposes WalzCraft prices these as 6 Pass doors. MDF Door & Drawer Front Construction and Ordering MDF doors and drawer fronts are constructed of premium, ¾" or 1" thick 48# MDF that is precision routed in the Door or Drawer Front Style and Profiles that you select. To Order MDF Doors or Drawer Fronts... 1) Select one of the available Stile & Rail / Panel Profile combinations. 2) Select an Outside Edge. 3) Select one of the available Door Styles. 3D Laminate (RTF) Door & Drawer Front Construction and Ordering 3D Laminate (RTF) doors and drawer fronts are constructed of premium, ¾" or 1" thick 48# MDF with an Almond or White True Thermofused Melamine back or a matching 3D Laminate (RTF) back. When choosing a matching 3D Laminate (RTF) back, the product will be approximately 0.040" (1.02mm) thicker than normal. They are precision routed in the Door or Drawer Front Styles and Profiles that you select. The 3D Laminate (RTF) foil covers the face and edges of the doors and drawer fronts. To Order an 3D Laminate (RTF) Door... 1) Select one of the Stile & Rail/Panel Profile combinations. 2) Select an Outside Edge. 3) Select one of the available Door or Drawer Front Styles. 4) Select one of the available foil colors. 5) For wood grain foils, please specify either horizontal or vertical grain for the doors and drawer fronts. > Also specify either Almond or White as the melamine color on the back of the door or a matching 3D Laminate (RTF) back. 6) White High Gloss requires a special board for pressing and is only available with a white melamine back. 3D Laminate (RTF) Cleaning and Care 3D Laminate (RTF) doors are built to need very little attention. We recommend that you use only warm soapy water (dish soap) to clean them. Never use anything with abrasive in it. If using stronger cleaning materials, always test a new cleaning solution on a small less conspicuous area before doing an entire kitchen. If 3D Laminate (RTF) doors are installed near a self cleaning oven, dishwasher or any other appliance emitting high heat, we suggest you open the cabinet doors to avoid heat exposure.

Choosing a flute pattern option will determine if your fluted molding is Full Length (FL) or Not Full Length (NFL). To order, note the width of the molding, the flute size, round (Ex: #700-06RF) or square (Ex: #700-06SF) flutes, how many flutes, your flute pattern and any additional options required. 3D Laminate (RTF) fluted moldings are only available with round (Ex: #700-06RF) flutes. Flute depth is approximately half of the depth of the rout on a hardwood fluted molding. There is a 1 square foot minimum per item for pricing. White High Gloss Foil is not an option for ¾" or 1" thick MDF doors or drawer fronts with an FP200 Finger Pull. Please specify the laminate color for the melamine back (white or almond). 9) Lazy Susan Doors A 3D Laminate (RTF) door in a mitered lazy susan configuration will look like the drawing in the Options section of catalog. (The back corners are clipped.) In order to facilitate the pressing operation, the mitered doors can not come to a sharp point. Lazy susan doors will come to you a 1/16" smaller in width than the size you order. When you assemble the pair, the size will be correct because you are matching up the inside corners. 10) Moldings Full scale drawings of all moldings, including those available as 3D Laminate (RTF) are in the Moldings section of the catalog. = Available on products using 3D Laminate (RTF). 3D Laminate (RTF) moldings use the same foil colors that are used on the doors, so the color match is exact. For quality reasons, 3D Laminate (RTF) moldings have a solid wood core (Paint Grade Maple) and are priced by the 8' length.
