[13] TBR 034 (1997): "Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN); Attachment requirements for packet mode terminal equipment to connect to an ISDN using ISDN primary rate access". 3 Definitions and abbreviations 3.1 Definitions For the purposes of the present document, the definitions given in the TBR standards listed in clause 2 apply. 3.2 Abbreviations For the purposes of the present document, the abbreviations defined in the TBR standards listed in clause 2 apply. 4 Overvoltage Protection 4.1 Issue under consideration The following statements summarise the treatment of overvoltage in the various standards describing the attachment requirements for terminal to digital services: TBR 003 clause 8 [1] and TBR 033 clause 8 [12] specify overvoltage protection requirements based upon ETS 300 047-3; TBR 004 clause 8 [3], TBR 012 clause 5.4 [5], TBR 013 clause 4.4 [7], TBR 014 clause 5.4 [8] and TBR 034 clause 8 [13] specify overvoltage protection requirements based upon ETS 300 046-3; TBR 024 clause 4.4 [10] and TBR 025 clause 4.4 [11] state that there are no overvoltage protection requirements, but requirements on a 75 Ωinterface are under study; ETS 300 046 and ETS 300 047 have been withdrawn by on the basis they are covered by other safety or EMC standards; although the specific test cases of ETS 300 046/47 are not reproduced in other standards, the overvoltage protection requirements are covered by safety standards (EN 60950) and EMC basic standards (EN 61000-4 series); references to ETS 300 046/47 in ONP standards have been removed; CTRs are no longer in force.

7 TS 102 119 V1.1.1 (2001-08) 4.2 Resolution When utilising the TBRs as listed in the scope, the following factors should be taken into consideration: The text of TBR 003 clause 8 [1], TBR 004 clause 8 [3], TBR 012 clause 5.4 [5], TBR 013 clause 4.4 [7], TBR 014 clause 5.4 [8], TBR 033 clause 8 [12] and TBR 034 clause 8 [13], shall be replaced by: "Overvoltage protection is outside of the scope of this TBR." In TBR 024 clause 4.4 [10] and TBR 025 clause 4.4 [11] the note shall be deleted.
