Congratulations to you, the faculty, the students, the staff, and all supporters of the school. One purpose of peer review is to stimulate further continuous improvement of quality programs. As noted in the team report, your school is to be commended on the following strengths and effective practices: 1. Planning The School of Business Administration executive team develops and annually updates the school s strategic plan with input from faculty, staff, students and employers. Changes in objectives occur as new weaknesses, opportunities and threats are identified through the school s continuous improvement processes. 2. Assurance of Learning The school has implemented an exemplary Assurance of Learning (AoL) process and is commended for its achievements in closing the loop and faculty involvement. 3. Faculty Development and Evaluation The school encourages and provides support for faculty for continued growth and development in their professional and academic careers in ways that serve the mission and objectives of the school. Comprehensive faculty Development and Evaluation Plans (FDEPs) provide clear and objective evaluation and merit guidelines. 4. Student Support. The school has a dedicated student support staff to ensure that prospects, students, and alumni have timely access to professional, courteous advisors. 5. Online Delivery and Support The school has a strong online program with outstanding technological support. 6. In the interest of continuous improvement, the school should closely monitor the following items, as identified within the Peer Review Team Report, and incorporate them in ongoing strategic planning initiatives: 1. The school should continue to address the needs associated with rapid growth in enrollments, particularly at the graduate level. (Eligibility Criteria C; Standard 4: Continuous Improvement Objectives; Standard 5: Financial Strategies) 2. Continue to recruit and develop faculty consistent with the increased emphasis on graduate education and the forthcoming introduction of freshman and sophomore level instruction at UHV. (Standard 10: Faculty Qualifications) 3. The school should continue to augment career service staffing and programming. (Standard 8: Staff Sufficiency Student Support) The University of Houston-Victoria has achieved accreditation for six additional s. The next on-site maintenance review occurs in 2014-2015. A timeline specific to your visit is attached 2. Please note that your Maintenance Review Application, which initiates the maintenance process, will be due on July 1 st, two s prior to your review. In this application you will be expected to provide an update on progress in addressing the concerns stated above in addition to other relevant information for initiation of the next maintenance review. Please refer to the Maintenance of Accreditation Handbook for more information regarding the processes for maintenance of accreditation. The handbook is updated periodically to provide the most current process improvements. Please monitor the website to make certain that you have the most current version.
