Getting Started Wireless 5G HDMI Environment Setup IR EYE Input HDMI Input HDMI Output Wireless HDMI Transmitter Unit (TX) Wireless HDMI Receiver Unit (RX) HDMI Input device (DVD Player, gaming console, cable/satelite box etc) Remote control of the HDMI Input device (DVD Player, gaming console, cable/satelite box etc) TV/Projector The Wireless HDMI Transmitter broadcasts wirelessly over 5G to the HDMI Receiver. The wireless transmitter and receiver can be set up horizontally or vertically, however for optimal performance it is recommended that the device is placed vertically. Note: Before starting the installation, please ensure that all HDMI devices are powered off. 5
Installation HDMI Input HDMI Output Wireless HDMI Transmitter Unit (TX) Wireless HDMI Receiver Unit (RX) IR Extension Cable HDMI Input device (DVD Player, gaming console, cable/satelite box etc.) HDMI Output device (HDTVs, Monitors, Projectors etc.) 1. Transmitter 1. Place the Transmitter (TX) near the HDMI input device (Media player, gaming console, cable box, etc.) 2. Connect the HDMI input device to the HDMI IN port of the Transmitter using an HDMI cable. 3. If you want to control your input device using IR remotes, connect the included IR extension cable to the IR port on the Transmitter and place the receiving end of the IR cable near the IR receiver of your HDMI input device (typically in front of the device). 6
2. Receiver 1. Place the Receiver (RX) near the HDMI output device (HDTVs, monitors, projectors, etc.) 2. Connect the HDMI output device to HDMI OUT port of the Receiver using an HDMI cable. 3. Connect the power adapters to the Transmitter and the Receiver. After following these steps, the Wireless HDMI Kit is ready to use. Simply power on all devices to begin operation. Connection The Transmitter and Receiver will automatically create a wireless link upon being powered on. The connection process may take several seconds depending on the distance between the units and other environmental factors. Once the wireless link has been established, a blue LED light will be lit on both units. During the initial power up phase, it is normal for your HDMI display to turn on and off for a short time. IR Extender / Emitter Function To ensure that the Transmitter and Receiver is positioned to receive IR commands: 1. Connect the included IR extension cable to the IR port on the Transmitter. 2. Place the emitter end of the IR cable near the IR receiver of your DVD player / gaming console / other HDMI input device (typically in front of the input device) You can now control your input device (DVD player / gaming console / cable box) from the display side of your installation using the Transmitter IR Extender. Troubleshooting 1. Not receiving any output / The display is blank 1. Check that all connections are correctly made and that all units are powered on. 2. Check that the blue LEDs are lit on both the Transmitter and Receiver. 3. If the Transmitter or Receiver are positioned horizontally, move them to the vertical position. The vertical position may help improve the signal quality. 4. Power the Transmitter and Receiver on and off. 5. Reduce the distance between the Transmitter and Receiver then power both of the devices on. 2. The wireless link LED indicator is not lit 1. Verify if the IR extension cable is correctly connected to the Transmitter unit. 2. Reposition the IR receiving end of the cable to another location near the IR port of your input device (typically in front of the input device). 3. Verify if the IR transmitter on the Receiver is visible and able to transmit from your remote control. Warranty 1 Year Limited Hardware Warranty. Kinivo hereby warrants to the customer of record that this product is in good-working condition and free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use for a duration of 1 year after the date of purchase. The product has been tested to meet the highest quality standards in each testing category. In the unlikely event that the product proves to be defective, Kinivo will repair or replace the product free of charge. If replacement is required and if Kinivo then no longer carries the same product, then Kinivo reserves the right to substitute the product with a replacement product of like quality and size, suitable for the intended use. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the mentioned product only, is non-transferable and does not extend to any product damaged by misuse, natural disasters or any other circumstances beyond Kinivo s control.
