After an investigation, an Inquiry Panel holds a hearing and may find the person guilty of unprofessional conduct. Sanctions range from a reprimand, to treatment/supervision, to suspension or cancellation of the person s license, or prohibiting the person from applying for a new license (HSSPA, section 48). Appeal Offences A person denied a license; issued a license with conditions; removed from registration; or whose license is suspended or cancelled can appeal to the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories within 30 days. Offences are: use a protected title unless they hold a license under the Act contravene the conditions or restrictions on their licence practice psychology when he or she does not have a license under the Act Subject to a fine of $5000 or up to one year in jail, or both Part 4 Review of Conduct. An order for a sanction from an Inquiry Panel can appeal to the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories within 30 days of receiving the Inquiry Panel s decision. Part 6 General.
